About the Role:
As an Engineering Depot Supervisor - Technical Support, you’ll be at the heart of our Train Care Centre, playing a crucial role in ensuring we meet and exceed our performance targets.
In this role, you’ll provide essential technical support that directly impacts the smooth operation of our Train Care Centre. You’ll help us maintain the highest standards in fleet performance, ensuring our trains are always in top condition and ready to serve our passengers safely and reliably.

Your leadership will help us build a stronger, more capable workforce, ensuring that we continue to deliver excellence every day.

Key responsibilities:
Your technical expertise and leadership will be instrumental in driving our success as we focus on three key priorities: Fleet Performance, Maintenance Quality, and People Development.
Fleet Performance
Review real time Leadmind and RCM information.
Feed into FRACAS and jointly lead meetings.
Create Scope of Wworks to assist Maintenance colleagues deliver excellence.
Real time incident monitoring, liaise wit PMs for perspective workloads.
Maintenance Quality
First time Fix, aiding Supervisory team in determining scopes of work.
Propose product improvements working with Fleet Improvement Engineer.
Quality of exam maintenance via FWI and feedback to the Production Management.
Product Assurance Process management.
Produce Lessons learnt document to help educate our colleagues in a feedback process.
People Development
Defect feedback forms (first time fix)
Become TCC onboard systems specialist.
Help develop staff to read the digital tools.
Work under own initiative

About you:
We’re looking for someone who not only has the technical know-how but also excels in leadership and communication. You’re well-organised, with a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. Your proactive approach means you’re always looking for ways to improve processes and outcomes, and you’re comfortable taking the initiative to drive positive change.
We’re also looking for the following:
Essential:
Successful completion of Level 3 NVQ competence and/or a recognised apprenticeship.
Demonstrable experience in maintenance, repair, and overhaul of heavy equipment or machinery.
Proficient in computer systems associated with depot and vehicle operations.
Desirable:
Experience with personal track safety and designated person certification.
Knowledge of COSHH safety-related instructions and ability to read and understand technical documentation.
IOSH Certificate, or willingness to qualify
