Solutions Engineer required to provide technical and project support for GNSS solutions encompassing Positioning Navigation and Timing technologies. You will liaise with internal sales teams and external customers to understand requirements and propose technical solutions.

Requirements

GNSS, Software or RF Engineering technologies knowledge. Ideally GNSS based R and D methods including GNSS test or simulator development.

Understanding client needs, gathering requirements and writing technical proposals ideally with direct customer engagement experience.

Real Time Embedded Firmware Engineer require to join an existing team to understand and analyse internal requirements then model, design and develop software architecture, applications and working solutions. You will work in cross functional teams including software, hardware and user functions owning and where possible automating built in test processes and systems.

Requirements

Experience in developing real time software in C, C++ and Python.

Degree or higher qualification in relevant subject.

GNSS Positioning knowledge of signal generation.

Windows, Linux or other UNIX, Git and Subversion experience.

Driver development, GPU, IQ signal data, RF interface design including FPGA, Microblaze etc. all highly desirable.

Advanced mathematical skills highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

The design, development and qualification of real time software solutions.

API Design and Development

Digital signal processing algorithm development.

Support product development and planning.

Test Automation Engineer required to work on GNSS Product Verification and Test as part of an Engineering team focusing on test verification and automation of GNSS PTN, Positioning, Timing and Navigation end to end systems.

The ideal candidate will have navigation and positioning test systems automation experience however training can be provided.

Unix and Windows OS.

Product Verification and Test including digital communications, RF analysis, Forward Error Coding for GNSS and related technology.

Test Automation using engineering test equipment.

Test equipment, spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes, RF power meters etc.

BA, BEng or HND Engineering subject.

Exposure to BPSK, QPSK or other phase modulation, spread spectrum, signal detection, signal and interference analysis, baseband filtering, data formatting, Pytest, Git or Git Hub would be beneficial.

Role

Setup and perform complex test procedures for GNSS PTN Positioning, Timing and Navigation solutions.

Test automation scripting.

Troubleshoot and solve technical issues to complex real world problems.

The Manufacturing Process Engineer will be responsible for the overall technical and engineering development of new and existing projects ensuring that scrap, productivity, and price targets are achieve.

Salary- £32k-£40k

Annual leave- 25 days plus 8 BH
