We have a full-time role available for a Trainee Non-Destructive Testing Technician.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Inspection Team as we continue to grow and deliver more complex projects, the role comes with the following development opportunities whereby Axiom will support and develop the right candidate with the acquisition of the following NDT techniques:

Main Duties and Responsibilities include:
• Learning the various NDT techniques and ensuring that work is conducted in accordance with the written scheme of examination in-line with the appropriate standards and procedures.
• Capable of working as part of a team when carrying out NDT, with a view to working alone.
• Photographing defects and carrying out physical measurements of local thinned areas
• Liaising with the site contact upon completion of NDT.
• Maintain an accurate record of site results with the intention of transferring onto specific reporting template.
• Writing of NDT reports to a suitable standard detailing all areas of test, restrictions and results.
• Ensure that all work is being performed efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.
• Work within Axiom’s inspection quality programme to maintain UKAS accreditation.



Working Environment:
This full-time role is based in Teesside combining both office and site work.
The site location will be varied including the following environments:

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Skills:
• Attention to detail, the ability to observe and identify flaws or irregularities in materials.

Experience:
• None necessary, but knowledge of / exposure to standard NDT methods would be beneficial.

Qualifications:

• A full clean UK Driving Licence
• To be computer literate and competent in the use of Microsoft Excel
• Able to work in the UK without restriction.

Major Duties Statement
The position is an Engineering Equipment Operator for the Blue Ridge Parkway. Two positions will be filled from this announcement, one in Roanoke, Co, Va (Vinton sub-district) and one in Floyd Co, Va. (Rocky Knob sub-district.) The primary purpose of the position is to operate various engineering and construction equipment. Major duties include:

• Operates gas or diesel powered engineering and construction equipment with wheeled or crawler-type traction, such as road graders, tractors with bulldozers or angle dozer blades, front-end loaders, backhoes, wheel loaders, trench diggers, and large industrial tractors with pan or scraper attachments.

Salary:
Salary up to £42,000- dependent on qualifications and experienceRole:
We are looking for an experienced Gas Engineer to work within our varied scope of clients and their estates carrying out service, fault diagnosis, reactive repairs and installation of gas fired domestic and commercial appliances, installation and tightness testing of domestic and commercial gas installations and gas safety inspections. The Gas Engineer will be expected to complete works in compliance with Gas Safety Use and Installation Regulations, British Standards and Industry Codes of Practice and ensure all relevant gas certification is accurately and satisfactorily completed. As a Supervisory Environmental Engineer GS-819-15, you will:

• Conceive, plan, organize, direct, and control, professional and technical engineering services and long-range programs and projects required to identify, evaluate, and control environmental hazards at the NIH due to physical, chemical, and biological materials.
