Civil Litigation Solicitor needed in Cardiff

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a large debt case load autonomously. They will be responsible for recovering debts including both Adult Social Care and Corporate debts and others.

They will maintain accurate record of all files, including the status of them, value of debt and sum recovered and will advise the client directorate appropriately and keeping them updated. They will be issuing court proceedings to include preparing all relevant Court papers and will be advising and assisting others within the team to include reviewing the work of Legal Assistants.

Service Care Solutions is working alongside a bustling local authority, based in Wales, which needs a Civil Litigation Solicitor to join their team and handle a mixed Debt Recovery Caseload. This will include both Adult Social Care and Corporate debts.

The role can pay £55-£60ph umbrella and can be done fully remote. The contract will be on a 4-month rolling basis.

Key Responsibilities Of The Civil Litigation Solicitor Role:

• Manage and recover debts on behalf of the Council, including Adult Social Care and Corporate debts.
• Advise client directorates on recovery progress and strategy.
• Prepare and issue court proceedings, including all relevant court papers.

About You:

• Qualified Solicitor with experience in debt recovery, ideally within local government.
• Strong knowledge of debt recovery processes, including court proceedings.
• Advocacy experience in court.

The role is paying circa £55,000pa depending on experience and is mostly remote based, you'd likely go on site a couple of times a month. Your new role what you'll need to succeed
In the role you will support a mix of BAU and project-based infrastructure work in the team of 5. You'll provide high level technical expertise across Azure Active Directory, Entra ID, Identity Access Management and PowerShell scripting. You'll support more junior members of the team, work closely with stakeholders in the wider IT directorate and support 3rd party vendors. To be considered for this role you will need to be an experienced 3rd line infrastructure engineer who in recent years has specialised in the Microsoft Stack, with specific expertise around Microsoft Azure including the technologies mentioned above. You will need to have good stakeholder management skills and have varied experience supporting project based IT modernisation.

The Role - Building Services Engineer - Mechanical Bias

• Undertake the maintenance and repair of the Gas, Plumbing, and Mechanical service, including fabric tasks of buildings as required under contract
• Completing planned and reactive maintenance in commercial buildings
• Completing the appropriate paperwork & reports
• Working on commercial heating & plumbing systems
• Completing service, maintenance, fault-finding, and breakdown
• Supervising on-site sub-contractors

What we are looking for in the successful Building Services Engineer - Mechanical Bia

• C&G/NVQ in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification - ESSENTIAL
• Current and in-date ACS Commercial Gas Qualifications (COCN1, CORT1, CIGA1, CDGA1 etc) - BENEFICIAL
• NVQ/City & Guilds level 3 in Plumbing - BENEFICIAL
• City & Guilds F-Gas / City & Guilds 18th Edition - BENEFICIAL
• Experience of maintenance, testing & fault finding on a variety of equipment Including, boiler plant, ventilation, pumps, generators, switchgear, cables, batteries, small power and lighting (where applicable)

• Previous experience in a similar service & maintenance role ESSENTIAL
• Proven fault finding & breakdown experience ESSENTIAL
