The role
As the Integration Engineering Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be part of a multi-billion pound programme, supporting a major defence construction project which includes the design, installation and commissioning of complex engineering plant and equipment essential to meet the facilities strategic outcomes.
Day-to-day, you'll act as the overall integrator, responsible for coordinating with various engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, safety, process etc.) to ensure cohesive integration of systems and processes. You'll develop and oversee the execution of integration plans, ensuring seamless interaction between different engineering systems and components.
The role will require you to translate project requirements into detailed technical specifications and integration plans for engineering team, with an understanding of system engineering management and planning over the full engineering lifecycle, and chair Technical Assurance Gates in accordance with company systems engineering procedures.
- Testing and Validation: Oversee the testing and validation of integrated systems to ensure they meet performance, reliability, and safety standards.
- Documentation: Ensure comprehensive documentation of integration processes, configurations, and changes for future reference and compliance purposes.
- Technical Integration: Integrate Process, Mechanical, EC&I systems and lead the technical integration of complex engineering systems.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in system integration, implementing best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Interface Management: Manage interfaces between systems, identifying and resolving any integration issues to maintain system integrity.
This role is full time, 37 hours hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Integration Engineering Manager
- Worked in highly regulated industries with experience of safety case, human factors, environmental, sustainability, availability, reliability, maintainability with assurance design processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the integration process, implementing effective solutions to minimize disruptions.
- Able to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand integration requirements and provide updates on integration progress and challenges.

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) initially. Once in post you would be required to go through Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance.
