About this opportunity
The Release Manager will lead the release management lifecycle within the Finance Transformation Strategic Ledger Lab, focusing on the coordination and deployment of Oracle Fusion, OFSAA and EPM solutions within the banks finance function. This role ensures that releases are planned and delivered on time, within budget, and meet the quality standards of the organisation.
In this role you'll be responsible for:

Release Planning and Coordination, developing and maintaining release schedules for Oracle Fusion and Oracle OFSAA deployments, coordinating with cross-functional teams including finance, IT, and external vendors and ensure all release activities are aligned with business objectives and compliance requirements.

Coordinating the Deployment Management process ensuring minimal disruption to business operations and handling the release process from development through to production, including post-release support and implementing and maintaining release management tools and processes.

Handling Quality Assurance to ensure all releases meet quality standards and are thoroughly tested. You'll conduct release readiness reviews and post-implementation reviews to identify and mitigate risks associated with releases.

Acting as the primary point of contact for release-related activities, providing regular updates to collaborators on release status, issues, and risks and will facilitate communication between technical teams across the platform and outside where needed.

Management of Continuous Improvement, finding opportunities for process improvements with a familiarity of modern tooling and how it can help increase delivery velocity and safety. You'll implement proven techniques and industry standards for release management and supervise and report on data related to release management.

What you'll need:

Proven experience in release management, preferably within the finance sector

Experience with Oracle Cloud based architecture and Oracle Cloud Console

Strong understanding of cloud computing, SaaS, and PaaS models

Excellent project management and organisational skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Broad technical abilities especially in regards Cloud Technologies
And any experience of these would be really useful:

Certification in Oracle Cloud or related technologies

Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies

Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards in the UK
