MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER - BRISTOL
£40,000 + Annual Bonus Scheme, 25 days + Bank Holidays, Flexible working, Hybrid working, Medical cashback plan, 7x DIS, Access to Perkbox.
Due to ongoing success and company expansion, my client are looking to add to their skilled design team with the addition of an Mechanical Design Engineer.
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer. If you're a driven & highly motivated person wishing to craft out a successful and rewarding future in what is a truly unique environment, this could be the role for you. You will be working on a variety of projects for products which are manufactured and supplied to all parts of the globe.
THE ROLE:
Working on design projects for customers, primarily designing Packaging machinery and Product handling equipment.
Accountable for all mechanical aspects of a project and provide technical guidance to customers.
Attend specification meetings with global customers.
Be aware of cost targets in design, purchasing, and assembly.
Carry out risk assessments on machinery and assemblies of machinery.
Attend project meetings and update the Project Managers on engineering progress.
THE PERSON:
Experience using SolidWorks.
Ability to design for manufacture and assembly.
The ability to read and produce 2D production drawings applying GD&T where necessary.
Problem solving and trouble shooting ability.
Ideally possess an Engineering Degree OR HNC.
Minimum 3 years experience in a Design Engineering role.
