Leads the mechanical engineering team in the development of designs.....
- Leads the mechanical engineering team in the development of designs and project execution documents (plans, specifications, and design documentation reports).
- Prepares and/or oversees general designs, technical analyses, layouts, and computations, as necessary, for developing various features of the project.
- Provides technical advice and guidance to the mechanical engineering team, Engineering Division (ED), and including internal elements, Architect-Engineer (A-E) consultants, and non-federal sponsors, as required.
- Conducts site inspections, forms conclusions, and provides oral or written reports containing recommendations for action.
- Represents Engineering Division in meetings with outside entities including construction contractors, the designated non-federal sponsor, and other local government officials.
- Contacts other government agencies and the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Headquarters (HQ) community of practice leads for advice on complex technical issues and guidance on the Engineering Regulation (ER) and Engineering Manuals (EM).
