Job Purpose:

To provide effective leadership of the Teledyne Marine Aberdeen engineering team and development projects.  Coordinating and taking the lead for projects and non-project team activities as well as other management tasks as allocated to you.

What You’ll Get to Do:

• Work on state-of-the-art technologies like RF transmitters, RF receivers, FPGAs, RF amplifiers, and digital circuits applicable to UAV and land-based sensors.

• Understanding of RF Communications with a focus on circuitry, benchtop equipment experience (SpecAn, SigGen, O-Scope, et al), and performing standard RF measurements (e.g., operating frequency, occupied bandwidth, average power, pulse width, etc.). 

• Experience with either IDA Pro or Ghidra, a significant understanding of reverse engineering tasks (static/dynamic analysis, machine code emulation, and firmware review), the ability to perform independent open-source research, and a comprehensive understanding of integrated circuit architectures.• Experience with soldering and re-working electronic circuit boards and components (e.g. through-hole, surface mount, cable assemblies, wire harnesses).

You Have:  

• Experience with developing network architecture for adjacent, higher, and lower units for DoD clients and commercial service interfaces
• Experience with providing technical support in Tactical Network labs, developing equipment and network configurations and products, and with designing and implementing LANs and VLANs

Title:

KBR is currently recruiting for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD to support our customer, Project Manager Intelligence Systems & Analytics – Army (PM IS&A).  This position is contingent upon award.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Provides systems and software engineering support with an emphasis on the engineering skills and knowledge required to assess, and analyze large, complex systems and their integration into future Army strategic or tactical systems.

• Provides software engineering support to PM IS&A for the full software life cycle of a product line.

• Author and synchronizes software processes, policies, and methodologies across Systems Engineering IPT and ensure compatibility with System of System level guidance.

• Coordinate and synchronizes software and hardware requirements and architecture between the developers and System of Systems products for DCGS-A and other systems as directed.

• Supports the requirements analysis/definition, design, implementation, integration, and verification of the interoperability interfaces for other supported systems such as CD1, CD2, TITAN, and Intel Apps and other Army, Joint, Interagency, and Multinational requirements.

• Supports and clarifies interoperability certification requirements (for example Army Interoperability Certification), and finalize agreements related to interoperability testing with the Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC).

• Maintain and enhances the PM IS&A Application Programing Interface (API). The API will be used for “intera” operability across the IS&A portfolio.  Manage an Engineering Review Board process to manage configuration management and proposed enhancements to the PM IS&A API.

• All other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, System, Software or Computer Engineering; Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.

• At least ten (10) years of direct experience performing installation, configuration and troubleshooting of information technology systems is required.

• Detail-oriented with excellent technical skills.

• Experience administering (installing, configuring and troubleshooting) systems running in Windows, Linux and VMWare environments.

• Experience in the intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance mission area.

• Experience with the use and testing of ISR software systems.

• Must have an active TS/SCI level security clearance.

Travel:

Less than 10% travel is expected for this position.  Travel may include continental United States and outside continental United States locations.

Work Environment:

This position may be performed in a variety of locations, including but not limited to, commercial and/or government offices, test and integration labs, government facilities and depots, and test & evaluation and proving grounds.
