Based at our Maintenance Facility in Fort William, you'll join a small team of Mechanics to carry out mechanical repairs, servicing and maintenance across a varied fleet of Trucks and Trailers in a modern well equipped facility.

The role involves diagnostics, repair and maintenance on the company's fleet of upward of mainly 50 Volvo trucks, but also including Scania & MAN, and 160 trailers and small plant machinery, including tractor units, cranes, service vans, tug masters which are serviced and maintained at our workshop.
Services provided in the Maintenance Facility include:
- Pre-MOT inspections
- Tachograph calibrations
- Computer diagnostics
- Winter checks
- Cab/chassis/engine steam clean
- Commercial steam cleaning
- Breakdown assistance
- ABS and EBS systems
- Repair/ supply hydraulic pipes
- Training facilities
Duties will include:
- Inspecting & maintaining Ferguson Transport fleet of vehicles and trailers
- Travelling to sites to deal with breakdowns
- Maintaining workshop along with colleagues to standards that meet our image of an efficient and modern transport and service provider
- Use of Volvo/Scania special tools as required
- Completing necessary paperwork and records
- Carrying out repairs according to Company procedures in a safe and responsible manner
- Using specialist tools and equipment as and when required
