The Opportunity:
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University seeks a detail-oriented and collaborative Director of Web Applications and Analytics to join the Information Technology department in a teleworking arrangement. Reporting to the Executive Director of Web Strategy, the Director of Web Applications and Analytics is responsible for driving user adoption and engagement, increasing on- and off-platform performance, and connecting business needs with technical solutions to meet organizational goals.
They will manage and maintain various enterprise-wide web and marketing technology systems and performance tools including but not limited to AI chatbot, mobile app, Google Marketing Platform, JotForms, SiteImprove, Canva, Beaconstac, and BrowserStack. The Director of Web Applications and Analytics will supervise two staff (a Senior Chatbot Specialist and a SEO and Analytics Analyst) as well as student employees.
The Director of Web Applications and Analytics will ensure that strategic, data-driven and user-based decisions are effectively and consistently implemented throughout various web and digital platforms. In addition, they will proactively identify tech gaps and recommend innovative solutions, new technologies, or systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities include the following:
Digital Product Management
Direct product roadmap for student-facing mobile app and AI digital assistance chatbot to increase users, enhance the user experience and meet organizational goals through a thoughtful combination of digital best practices and innovation. Develop processes, manage content, create communication plans, and provide user onboarding and training support. Share best practices through cross-campus collaboration and communications to enhance adoption and utilization across the university. Develop standard operating procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure continuity.
Performance and Analytics Management
Define a strategic approach for web and digital product performance to drive traffic, increase conversions and meet organizational goals. Utilize and manage tools such as Google Marketing Platform (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console), SiteImprove and SEMrush to outline, track and analyze areas of measurement. Recommend data-driven opportunities for on-page and off-page optimization to enhance user interactions. Ensure marketing technology tools and practices comply with internal and external compliance requirements, security reviews, data privacy regulations, and industry standards.
Staff Management
Manage and mentor digital specialists, as well as student workers and freelancers.
Application Analyst
Provide application oversight for various marketing technology tools and platforms, including but not limited to JotForms, Canva, Beaconstac, Browserstack, campus map, virtual tour and more. Stay updated with product changes, updates, and enhancements to ensure that documentation and communication materials reflect current product offerings. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify marketing technology needs and current technology gaps to support organizational goals and strategies.
Professional Development
Stay abreast of best practices, emerging trends, technological advancements, and new marketing technology tools. Understand the higher education marketing landscape.

Qualifications
Required skills, knowledge, abilities:
- Experience managing and communicating cross-functionally with both technical and business teams.
- Working knowledge of marketing technologies and customer-facing digital products, including machine learning and AI.
- Working knowledge of website and application lifecycle management: discovery, design, develop, test, deploy, measure, and optimize.
- Working knowledge of and ability to apply effective analytical techniques and tools.
- Working knowledge and experience in web strategy and best practices, including web and mobile apps, content, analytics, and search engine optimization.
- Experience combining technical skills with overall business strategy to creatively resolve complex problems in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.
