Position Overview

The Senior Director, Engineering, Sales Products is a critical role reporting to the VP, Engineering for Enterprise Systems and Experience (ESE), Autodesk's Information Technology (IT) organization.

You are a leader empowered to catalyze our growth to $10b+ through improved seller productivity, data quality, insights, and experiences to successfully scale worldwide sales.

• Partner with the product management peer to publish rolling 12-month roadmaps aligning to our goals

• Contribute to strategic planning processes to influence multi-year investment plans to drive the greatest business value

• Define OKRs including the measurement methodology, baseline, and targets by quarter, supported by a high confidence roadmap to land the committed business impact

• Lead a global engineering team and provide thought leadership on all systems and platforms used by the sales teams

• Engage with users to understand their requirements, address any concerns or issues, and build strong partnerships. Act as a trusted advisor providing technical expertise and guidance

Minimum Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in Engineering, including creating and driving roadmaps from conception to launch

• Deep domain expertise in enterprise Sales including best practices to drive and support industry-leading Account Management, Opportunity Management, Sales Planning and Performance, and Sales Enablement

• Proven track record landing quantifiable business impact in partnership with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, product management, UX, and architecture

• Experience with technical concepts, modern engineering practices, and influencing technical leaders

• Experience driving global and complex business transformations

• Experience scaling and retaining high functioning Engineering teams

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is a pivotal technology leadership role responsible for spearheading the development, deployment, and management of cloud Infrastructure, cloud-enabled consumer API services and cloud platform engineering practices, including DevSecOps and CI/CD methodologies. CORE FUNCTIONS

1. Oversee the strategic management and operational oversight of cloud-enabled consumer API services and cloud platform engineering, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and values.

2. Lead the transformation of IT practices to embrace cloud platform engineering, including DevSecOps and CI/CD, to enhance agility, security, and efficiency across software development life cycles. Guide and mentor teams in developing and implementing cloud-native solutions, emphasizing continuous integration, continuous delivery, and secure infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.

3. Monitor and optimize the performance of cloud services and infrastructure, employing best practices in cloud cost management and operational excellence.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent level of education and experience.

A minimum of eight years of progressively responsible experience in Information Technology, with at least five years in leadership roles focused on cloud technologies and platform engineering within a healthcare environment or similar complex industry. A minimum of ten years of experience managing public cloud platforms (AWS and Azure) and expertise in cloud operating models, cloud security, solution development, and cloud reference architectures.

Proven experience in leading cloud transformation initiatives, with a strong background in managing cloud-enabled consumer API services and cloud platform engineering practices.

Experience with infrastructure as code (IAC) and automation tools, such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible. Demonstrated ability in leading DevSecOps and CI/CD implementations, with a solid understanding of cloud-native development practices.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Advanced degree in a relevant field.

Relevant certifications in cloud technologies, DevOps, and cybersecurity are highly desirable. Direct management experience in a large-scale, cloud-first technology environment.

Job Description Summary

Assist the Chief Engineer to lead, execute and monitor initiatives related to ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and energy management controls systems in assigned portfolio.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

• Ensure the proficient operation and maintenance of all building systems including but not limited to HVAC, water treatment program, electrical, lighting, plumbing, carpentry and building/energy and management systems, ensuring all systems are maintained in first class condition

• Assist with managing all aspects of the facility maintenance operations and initiatives for a portfolio of buildings as assigned

• Monitor maintenance schedules including preventive maintenance, demand work orders, and risk management/fire safety.  Produce monthly status reports for the Property Management Staff including recommendations for improvements or modifications to schedules.Manage Angus Anywhere preventative maintenance, loss control and service call programs.  Monitor and manage work productivity through service call and preventative maintenance call program reporting

• Conduct periodic inspection and audits to confirm compliance with operations and maintenance programs including: service call programs, preventative maintenance, loss control prevention activities, safety programs, hazardous materials, OSHA compliance, water treatment and record keeping

• Assist Engineering and Property Management to develop scope and bid engineering related services or CAPEX projects

• Represent Property Management at tenant and Construction Department meetings as necessary

• Ensure compliance of all code required testing and maintenance of building systems, including NFPA 92, Ashrae 188, ACM O&M requirements and Arc Flash policy

• Maintain and refine a documented preventative maintenance and service call program for all building systems

• Organize and maintain comprehensive files consisting of operations and maintenance manuals, blueprints (tenant and base building), loss prevention activities, safety training, material safety data and other pertinent documents

• Regularly inspect all MEP machinery/equipment and rooms as well as other work areas to ensure good housekeeping and safe working conditions.  Produce monthly report on conditions of same

• MEP and building/energy management related input for annual operating budgets and 5-year capital plans for each asset

• Review tenant and base building renovation/development plans and specifications, providing comments relating to design problems or conflicts to existing building systems or structures

• Monitor all contracted maintenance, repair and construction activities for conformance to established building policies and standards. Inform Account Director of all defective or nonconforming conditions

• Provide suggestions and/or plans to improve the operating or energy efficiency of building systems

• Review emergency operational procedures including OSHA with staff such as equipment changeover, isolation of electrical and water systems, power outages, and other department-wide emergency procedures

• Respond to building emergencies and provide back up support to other Lead Engineers

• Ensure building standards are maintained as established

• Review logs daily and coordinate necessary action plan if needed

• Responsible for the overall direction, setting priorities and coordination of engineering staff at assigned site

• Coordinate and manage all energy star related programs

• Other duties as assigned, and needed at the assigned property

Non-Essential Functions:

• Assist in the technical training and upgrading of skills of less qualified staff

• Pursue employee development objectives recommended by the Account Director

• Supervise engineers and maintenance staff including hiring, training, personnel development, etc.
• Ensure performance management, coaching, and development of team members through established HR processes and disciplinary actions.
• Participate and coordinate annual scheduling and execution of the C&W Safety Program as directed by Asset Services, Engineering Leadership, EH&S Administration, and so forth. Responsible for 100% Compliance at his/her site.
• Manage operational accounts for building, including variance reporting, as required and assist in development of operating and capital budgets
• Utility Management such as tracking use, consumption, cost, reporting, comparison models, sub-metering, budgeting, variances as directed by Management and/or Leadership.
• Conduct regular inspections of building systems and equipment; identify and resolve issues.

• Recommend and implement improvements for preventive maintenance programs on an ongoing basis.
• Develop, implement, and maintain an effective preventive and predictive maintenance program for task scheduling, routines, and performance. • Develop and maintain effective building-specific maintenance and safety procedure manuals.
• Coordinate development of and/or maintain an Operations Document Library, including but not limited to construction plans, structural plans, as-built drawings, MEP schedules, line diagrams and schematics, equipment and operation manuals, start up and commissioning documents, and equipment warranties.
• Formulate and conduct building-related systems and equipment training.
• Coordinate maintenance efforts with outside contractors, tenant finish personnel, and engineers.
• Oversee all building systems including fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical issues; must remain current with latest HVAC technology trends.
• Maintain ongoing communication with tenants, clients, property management, and vendors
• Develop specifications and assist in solicitation, administration, execution and performance of maintenance/ repair service contracts.
• May assist in solicitation and acquisition of new management contracts
• Respond to all emergency situations quickly (fire, evacuation, equipment failure etc.) and customer concerns
• Implement and administer inventory control programs, purchase parts and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, requisitions, government agency, and company directives as relates to building operations.
Duties are inclusive of approximately 50% operating engineer responsibilities;
May be only maintenance staff member on duty during certain shifts; may require shift work and/or on-call or stand-by duties

Reports into the Chief Learning Officer, Commercial Aviation Solutions, where you will be leading the development, maintenance, preparation for implementation, and the measurement of CAE’s Commercial Pilot Training programs..

 

More specifically, you will:

• Direct the development and maintenance of CAE’s Commercial aviation training programs, including curriculum analysis, design, implementation preparation, and evaluation.

• Develop the policy procedures and processes necessary for the effective development and maintenance of training program design and evaluation. This includes the responsibility to continually monitor the need for new training programs and changes to existing programs that are driven by changes in regulation, feedback, and data analysis.

• Be responsible for the production and interpretation of regular training effectiveness data reports of the Commercial pilot training curriculums.

• Direct the process required to produce the artifacts required for the regulatory approval of Commercial pilot training programs.

• Be responsible for the oversight of the Management of Change process required for the introduction of new or revised training requirements.

• Guide the responsible use of Generative AI technology in the design and analysis of training programs.

• Maintain an awareness of the latest developments in all relevant training program and courseware development methodologies and technologies, through participation in appropriate workshops, conferences, and courses.

• Serve as an expert resource and consultant on instructional design issues and concerns for other training management personnel engaged in program development, revision, and improvement.

• Provide operator training consulting services, where you can be accepted as a peer of commercial operator training management personnel.

Our ideal candidate has:

• 12+ years of experience required in pilot training programs delivery and design.

• Holds or has held a Commercial Pilot Type and Instructor rating.

• Is an experienced Senior Manager, having previously led teams of managers.

• The knowledge and experience in the design and deployment of CBTA programs for pilots.

• The knowledge and experience in the application of Safety Management Systems thinking to training programs design.

• The ability to think strategically while also seeing things through with flawless execution.

• Strong analytic and diagnostic skills, and a data-driven approach to training program design.

• Demonstrated ability to influence and obtain buy-in from stakeholders at multiple levels of an organization.

• The ability to effectively manage costs and tight deadlines independently and within a team environment.
