About the role

The faculty of Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic Engineering are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Programme Leader in Engineering to join the well-established team. This is an academic and practical teaching role, in which you will work closely with other Programme Leaders and Head of Area for Engineering to provide high quality teaching and learning to a range of differing levels of learners.

Other job duties include:

Undertaking administrative duties related to programme.
Dealing with queries via phone, email, and letter.
Analysing data and producing reports using a range of systems.
Organising meetings, parents’ evening, and other college events.
Completing a self-assessment report to demonstrate academic achievements throughout the year and reflect upon.
Follow a comprehensive disciplinary policy with learners where required.
Maintaining records.

About the person

The successful candidate will have excellent teaching and industrial knowledge with a focus on outstanding teaching and learning.

Candidates should also have:

Level 3 in an Engineering discipline
Level 2 in Maths and English
Industrial knowledge in an Engineering background
Experience of analysing data and writing reports
ICT competency
Desirable to have experience in an educational environment or understand and awareness of the awarding bodies in education

About The Role


Working as part of a team and assisting the Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for attending gas escapes and carrying out appropriate repairs. You’ll need to have exceptional customer service skills, be extremely enthusiastic and have the ability to promote safe working practice, whilst driving efficiency and maintaining compliant ways of working.

Your day to day duties will include:

- Assisting the Team Leader
- Attending gas leaks
- Groundwork
- Excavations and reinstatements
- Utilising appropriate signing, lighting and guarding
- Ensuring cable avoidance
- Delivering equipment and tools where required
- Patrol and plant protection
- Working on deep excavations up to 2.5m
- Working on a standby rota system

To carry out this role you must have a full valid drivers licence and be able to be clean shaven every day for health and safety. The role will also include shift working and occasion weekend work.

The new appointment will provide mechanical engineering leadership and technical delivery for the Grimsby site. They will promote and ensure all engineering maintenance activities are conducted to the correct site, national and international standards, and that the assets and equipment are achieving business objectives and KPI's. They will be accountable for the efficient operation of the work planning system for both weekly and shutdown planning.

As a member of the Engineering Leadership Team, they will manage the mechanical maintenance resources and processes to ensure delivery of service and a safe, reliable plant achieving production and quality targets. They will lead and implement strategic management of plant assets and long-term upgrades and replacements as needed.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Leading a Mechanical Team and responsible for providing technical advice and expertise on all mechanical maintenance activities on the Grimsby site.
• Responsible for ensuring assets are maintained so they operate safely and reliably in a cost-effective manner.
• Lead the planning and prioritisation of weekly and shutdown maintenance / operations tasks through the effective use of SAP and planning tools, ensuring compliance with high-level KPI's.
• Through the use of asset reliability data / OEE losses, we ensure proper RCA / investigations are performed. Identify and organise asset improvement projects providing justifications for savings for inclusion of capex vouchers.
• Ensures contract companies are responsive to company needs and provide a quality service
• Develops the Ageing Plant strategy.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety, health and environmental procedures in the area of responsibility.

• A proven leader of people and technical delivery, able to work as 'Lenzing One Team', solving complex engineering / process problems.
• Good working knowledge of continuous process plant and equipment (rotating and fixed), maintenance strategies such as risk based inspections (RBI), planned, predictive and run to failure. Statutory regulations; PSSR, LOLER, PUWER along with a thorough understanding of ASME & API construction / repair codes. Working knowledge of management of change and SAP processes.
• A highly competent, credible and experienced leader who is accountable for the performance of people and operations. A team player with a collaborative One Team approach. A positive can-do attitude.
• Someone that can plan, organise and coordinate, inspire, motivate and encourage your team. Ethical, credible and consistent, uses initiative with a hands-on approach.

As a Project Manager, you play an important part in delivering projects in a safe and risk-free environment.

This includes management of safety, CDM, issues, risks, and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery.


You will be responsible for:
1. Meeting with senior management and clients to identify project requirements, delivery timelines and costs.
2. Developing detailed project plans to guide clients, staff members and project teams and revising based on changing needs and requirements.
3. Identifying and assigning project tasks based on the skill sets, experience, and strengths of staff members and supply chain.
4. Monitoring project performance from external contractors to ensure timely delivery.
5. Compiling and submitting project status reports to clients, management, and other stakeholders.

The ROLE

Due to continued expansion of their European Headquarters an opportunity has arisen for a talented HR Business Partner/Deputy HR Manager to join their team. The HR Business Partner/Deputy HR Manager will be responsible for ensuring best practice, on a Europe wide basis, on issues relating to;
* Employment
* Recruitment
* Health and Safety
* Training & Development
* Benefits and employee relations

The minutia of the role will include;
* Supporting management on day to day HR issues
* recruitment and staffing
* Employee orientation, development, and training.
* Developing policies in line with employment legislation
* Training administration
* Employee relations, employee services and counselling
* Assisting with HR reports
* Administering the employee reward and recognition scheme
* Assisting on the disciplinary process and procedure when necessary
* Appraisals and Probationary Reviews

The CANDIDATE

The successful HR Business Partner/Deputy HR Manager professional who enjoys working in a busy fast paced role - allied to the desire, ability and confidence to forge a career within a market leading organisation. The right candidate will have;
* Experience of working within HR at this level
* Background within manufacturing/engineering/ ISO environment is desirable

This position is suited to an experienced Engineering Manager, to become a critical part of the Senior Leadership Team for a well-known food manufacturer for their operation in Grimsby.
This pivotal role requires a dynamic individual with a proven track record in engineering management and demonstrable strengths in leading and developing a team of engineers and the ability to deliver on high-value projects, and management of change programs within this fast-moving food manufacturing operation.

About you:

• You will be qualified with a recognised engineering qualification, such as a HNC/ HND, degree in Engineering or similar.
• Extensive experience in engineering management, specifically within a food manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated success in leading operational change and managing large-scale projects.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
