ROLE PURPOSE

1.1 The role will primarily be responsible for the proper and efficient maintenance of

Engineering Site Maintenance Manager (Manufacturing)

Job Description
I am dealing with a good client of mine who is a large manufacturer to assist them in sourcing an Engineering Maintenance Manager for their site in Ayrshire. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the ideal candidate will come from a mechanical or electrical background and have in-depth knowledge and experience in heavy industry with a proven track record in good manufacturing practice and lean principles.

You will be responsible for all mechanical and electrical maintenance work, automation, site projects and maintenance systems on site. You will work closely with operations to manage the sites' production capacity to deliver on the Group's strategic objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Lead the maintenance team of fitters and electricians to deliver high performance process efficiency.
* Demonstrate strong leadership and team management skills to ensure performance of people and equipment is optimised.
* Comprehensive knowledge and experience of asset management, reliability, maintenance strategy, organisation and systems, including planning, CMMS, preventive and condition-based maintenance.
* Ensure the maintenance function operates on the site requires Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
* Planning and developing PEMAC / CMMS systems to deliver maximum line/process efficiency including energy, plant services and utilities.
* Delivery of KPIs: downtime, uptime, PM schedules and workflow.
* Implement best plant practices in process engineering & maintenance systems involving new technology and design standards.
* Development of the maintenance team's capability and skills, leading performance review, training and individual on the job coaching/mentoring and support to best industry standards.
* Responsible for cost management in the maintenance and engineering functions, delivering costs to weekly KPI budgets including energy and projects.
* Developing Maintenance Lean Systems using tools and techniques to meet continuous improvement targets that are critical to the success and delivery of a high-performance plant.
* Working with external contractors and installation companies to complete in-house maintenance and project work to the required standards.

Essential Skills and Experience

* Qualification in Engineering - mechanical & electrical background, or related field or equivalent knowledge and experience.
* Minimum 10 years' maintenance/engineering management experience is essential; heavy industry experience is an advantage.
* Knowledge of maintenance strategies e.g. RCM, TPM, Asset Management are desirable.
* Knowledge and experience to promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with appropriate regulatory standards.
* Reduces complexity and increases efficiency in processes to maximise outcome/return.
* Leads, by example, with a "can do" approach, passion, energy and a strong work ethic.
* Strong leadership and people management skills.
* Very strong organisation skills and attention to detail.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be part of the IT Service Management team. This is an individual contributor role.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Manage, develop, enhance and support company’s IT Service management platform. Drive strategic development and enhance its usability and integration with other tools and process to maximise value.
• Drive IT Operational Service Delivery and management activities, e.g. Incident, Problem, Change, Patch, Configuration and Asset management processes. This includes support of IT operational incidents after office hours.
• Support management and drive collaboration of day to day operational activities across various towers and stakeholders from datacentre facilities, network and platforms
• Manage and drive the IT Service Provider’s performance for IT Operations and ensure Service Level Agreements have been fulfilled and improvement plans to be established
• Serve as the Point of Contact for IT initiatives’ performance, services and changes.
• Facilitate system and service handover to the IT operations for any new applications and major enhancements
• Any relevant ad-hoc duties

Requirements

• Degree in IT related discipline & IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Certification
• Minimum 5 – 8 yrs of relevant experience in IT Infrastructure Operations and IT Service Management
• Experienced in project management for IT Infrastructure initiatives, scripting, system admin capabilities, service automation and related technologies.
• Knowledge of actual development and Hands-on administration on ServiceNow Platform. Certification in ServiceNow ITSM CAS, CAD or CIS preferred
• Knowledge in scripting on Json, Python or Javascript on Monitoring / Orchestration platforms, Splunk, ServiceNow or APM tool will be an added advantage
• Working knowledge on network, IT DevOps technologies, Linux, Wintel, VMware and Cloud technologies (AWS / Azure)
• Knowledge and experience in DevOps and Agile
• Responsive to dynamic environment
• Effective & Excellent Skills in Communication (both written and spoken) as well as Vendor and People/Relationship Management
• User-Oriented with good appreciation of business operations
• Diligent and willing to work beyond office hours
• Independent, Self-motivated and result driven
