Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Engineering Stores Manager who will be responsible for leading and managing the Stores Operation on a busy manufacturing site.

The Engineering Stores Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Stores - goods receipt, warehousing, inventory control, product sourcing and team management.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

• Lead, develop and mentor the Stores team
• Ensure the team understand the relevant processes and procedures are understood and efficiently implemented
• Champion best standards and ensure housekeeping is maintained
• Maintain Health & Safety requirements and manage H&S processes
• Build and develop relationships with Key Stakeholders and ensure materials are available to meet the business needs.
• To manage stock inventory through designated policies and techniques (e.g. cycle counting, stock checks, FIFO etc)
• Manage all documentation in line with Company and Client procedures.
• Report on weekly/monthly KPI's to demonstrate process control and compliance
• Work with key Stakeholders to identify and remove obsolete/redundant parts, optimise min/max levels for codified items to ensure optimal coverage for all maintenance and overhaul duties.
• Identify, drive and implement cost-saving opportunities
• Continually identify opportunities for continuous improvement

Knowledge and experience of the role:

• Proven experience of working in a similar Engineering Stores Management role within a busy manufacturing organisation
• Experience in developing, motivating and leading successful teams
• Experienced in logistical/material supply methodologies, including Lean principles
• Strong Planning and organisational skills
• Strong communicator who can build working relationships with colleagues and Stakeholders
• Can work autonomously and has strong problem-analysis and decision-making skills
• Experience in ERP/MRP systems
• Passionate about Continuous Improvement
• Customer focused and results-driven

Are you an Mechanical Contracts Manager looking to work on varied large scale commercial projects across the South East?

The company has been established for over 50 years and work on a wide range of commercial projects from Art & Leisure sites to Healthcare properties to Hotels. They are looking to add to their existing team and build up their management services due to the acquisition of new contracts. They are looking for someone with an extensive and varied background across multiple commercial sectors for this role.

Whilst you will be based predominantly in the Head Office in Chelmsford projects are based in the London and M25 area with occasional travel required to assist on South coast developments. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire project from initiation to completion including procurement, tenders, budgeting, management of labour and materials and project management.

They are looking for an experienced M&E Contracts/Compliance Manager to be responsible for of minor / major works operations across a range of building Mechanical & Electrical maintenance activities for various clients and contracts.

Duties:

• Management of minor / major works operations across a range of building Mechanical & Electrical maintenance activities for various clients and contracts. Manage the full supply chain management requirements to deliver successful services that achieve business objectives and meet our customer's needs.

• Managing approved contractors to meet service demands known and contingent, including procurement activity, commissioning, appointment and management in line with the Company's contract rules and standard terms and conditions.

• Improve the efficiency and output of the repairs and maintenance services including its reputation with customers and stakeholders for producing excellent services.

• Ensure accuracy of cost information in relation to projects and risk events. Ensure effective recovery of all claims/costs incurred.

• Review and authorise Sub-Contract payments within specified delegated authority.

• Undertake and accurately record work-in-progress, post inspections, health and safety inspections and act accordingly on findings. Also, where necessary compile improvement plans and see these through to completion.

• Provide accurate and timely reports on all aspects of projects being delivered including but not limited to production of monthly statistical and qualitative information in respect of service performance indicators and progress against targets and budgets.

• Keep abreast of developments in contract management practices and changes to standards and legislation, to ensure that services provided conform to industry best practice and legislative requirements.

• The post holder will be responsible for representing the company and liaising effectively with internal and external stakeholders; and when requested, stand in for the Head of Minor Works and Compliance.

• Developing new solutions and delivery models to improve efficiency, reduce costs, improve quality and customer experience.
