**Title:** Senior Craft Person - Mechanical

**Location:** Droitwich Spa (with potential travel to customer sites)

**Pay:** £19.95 ph

**Shift** : Monday- Thursday 7.30am-4pm/ Friday 7am-1pm

**Role Overview:**

The Senior Craft Person - Mechanical is a skilled professional responsible for the assembly and installation of pipe work systems in accordance with specified standards. This role involves overseeing both internal and subcontracted teams, ensuring high-quality, timely completion of mechanical projects, and upholding stringent health, safety, and housekeeping standards.

**Key Responsibilities:**

**General Duties:**


* Maintain exemplary housekeeping standards following 5S principles.
* Ensure health and safety compliance for oneself and others.
* Manage tools and materials, ensuring accurate tracking and allocation.
* Coordinate and allocate work to craft persons and subcontractors.
* Co-lead Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement.
* Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality, adhering to specified materials and procedures.
* Demonstrate flexibility and cooperation in response to changing business demands.

**Mechanical Duties:**


* Assemble pipework systems according to Work Instructions (WI1).
* Complete multi-section plantrooms efficiently and accurately.
* Ensure timely completion of all assigned work.
* Sign off on job cards and test certificates.
* Perform hydrostatic and pneumatic testing as required.

**Role Requirements:**

**Mechanical:**


* H&V Apprenticeship or NVQ equivalent, or a minimum of five years experience in H&V site installation.
* Valid CSCS Card.
* Ability to coach and mentor craft persons and assistants.
* Proficient in reading and interpreting schematic and general arrangement (GA) drawings.

**General:**


* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent time management and communication skills.
* Strong work ethic with a commitment to enhancing customer experience and reducing costs.
