Job title: Senior Nuclear Safety Engineer
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: Competitive (DOE)
Location: Silchester, Bristol, Glasgow, Aldershot or Newcastle - Hybrid available
Hours of work: Up to 40 hours per week
Applicants must have experience of the following:
- Honours degree in physics, mechanical engineering or related discipline
- Chartership or working towards it
- Sound engineering judgement skills and experience
- Demonstrable experience of delivering technically challenging projects
- Strong background in safety case production and hazard analysis
- Experience in the nuclear or defense industry
Role information:
- Hazard and fault identification
- Carry out qualitative and quantitative hazard assessments
- Carry out radiological hazard and probabilistic safety assessments
- Produce safety reports and documentation
- Provide support to engineering substantiation activities
- Develop and review safety management systems
- Produce technical reports for nuclear technology
- Ensure health and safety legislations and processes are adhered to
