Laboratory Calibration Technician required to fine tune power testing and measurement equipment for a wide range of client driven power electronics applications, testing and measurement of: energy storage devices, electric cars power trains and renewable energy sources. Our client provides ISO and IEC 17025 standard Calibration Laboratory Services, as a calibration technician you will calibrate measuring instruments and report on calibration results.

Requirements
Hands-on calibration experience of test equipment in a laboratory environment.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
Excellent customer service skills.

JOB PURPOSE Oversee one of the departments largest customers and contracts in audiometric calibrations and repair Maintain Medical Devices & Systems to the highest levels of performance, quality and integrity aligned to HPL requirements Participate in Planned Maintenance Programme (PPM) across the EME portfolio, delivering the programme of PPM services. Responsibility for delivery of EME service provision. Bring a broad technical understanding and specialism supporting the wider EME team Provide on-call out of hours service cover to customer base 2. JOB SUMMARY The role will oversee one of the departments largest customers and contracts in audiometric calibrations and repairs. The successful candidate will be driven by a high level of customer service and attention to detail. In addition to specialising in audiometric calibrations, the role will undertake the servicing and maintenance of a broad range of highly complex Medical devices throughout RSH, and third party stakeholders. The role will frequently require the post holder to engage with business projects and the adoption of new technologies in line with business requirements. Provide input to the development and maintenance of a long-term strategy and road map for Medical Devices, including replacement of older legacy devices with current and future technologies 3. KEY RESULT AREAS/MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Act as technical lead for audiometric calibrations and repairs Manage calibration and repairs with key stakeholder contract Proactive monitoring to ensure maximum uptime, reporting any downtime in a timely manner to the Head of Medical Engineering Plan and carry out own daily tasks and work load as well as allocation of work load to other staff members Engagement with third-party vendors, including participation in service reviews, billing review, and escalation of issues where appropriate Provide and receive complex information from third-parties in the ongoing maintenance of a range of Medical Devices and disseminate to other team members To be Involved in the ongoing development and documentation of processes and procedures in line with the trusts corporate policy, objectives and goals Identify and escalate perceived risks to EME Manager where appropriate, managing and alleviating risk and where possible resolving the risk To communicate specialist information with colleagues pertaining to your speciality The post holder is expected to participate in, and support the EME On Call Team From time to time you may be expected to lift heavy equipment, (training will be provided) The post holder will need to concentrate on accurate testing and input information to equipment during any calibration procedures The post holder is subject to HPL working conditions within the RSCH facility, which may include soiled and dirty equipment Security role controlling both local resource and access rights Documentation of processes for use across EME departments by both technical and non- technical personnel To keep records of all work carried out on any piece of equipment that has been repaired or serviced by yourself The post holder must carry out equipment testing on any piece of equipment which has been repaired or which has entered the trust either on a loan or purchased bases The post holder will participate in and provide service training to other staff members on the speciality equipment that you are responsible for The post holder must ensure that all policies are implemented and also to recommend any changes in the work area Provide guidance and technical training to junior members of the EME team To keep accurate records of all work carried on e-Quip database Carry out repairs to highly complex equipment in often time sensitive situations
