Senior Engineer – Dynamics/Power Platform
RCN UK HQ or Cardiff Office with hybrid working, 35 hours, 12-month fixed-term contract
£47,745 to £53,394 per annum (plus London weighting where applicable)

As a Senior Engineer you’ll use your positive attitude, as you design and develop exceptional software to support our online services. You will also use your excellent communication skills and knowledge to help inspire and encourage new ways of working.
This varied role is responsible for the development and support of the RCN’s services and applications that underpin its website, membership, and business systems. You will be working collaboratively in a supportive team to deliver diverse projects using modern technologies and practices to provide world-class online experiences. While delivering projects to timeframes you will be given enough time to complete development to a high standard.
As well as exceptional customer service, to join us you’ll need at least two years of experience in developing web-based solutions to meet technical requirements and business objectives. You will be passionate about learning and finding the most elegant solution to complex business requirements.
You will have experience in creating and maintaining customisations and processes within Power Platform, for related services, primarily Dataverse, SharePoint and Microsoft 365. You will have an understand of standard and custom data modelling, interfaces and governance. You’ll understand key tools of Power Automate, Model-Driven Apps, Power Pages and environment/solution best practice to deliver these projects in a sustainable way. You will be familiar with Azure DevOps and general coding concepts and principles to apply to Power Platform development and undertake application lifecycle tasks in an Agile, collaborative environment.
Knowledge working with PowerFx, TypeScript, PCF or C# are highly desirable for modernisation of our approach. A desire to complete Microsoft Learn material aligned with PL-900, 200 and 400 certifications, as well as being up to date with Microsoft release plan is essential for future platform improvement. Personal development and support will be provided where necessary.
You will need to show adaptability, reliability, the ability to deliver to timescales and a commitment to collaborative working. You will be an excellent communicator, have an analytical mindset, and a passion for development.

*We offer a competitive pay structure with annual pay progression until you reach the top of the salary scale. We normally offer new employees the first point of the salary range, although you may be able to negotiate a higher starting salary depending on your skills, experience and current salary.

Our hybrid working model allows for up to 60% of your working time to be carried out from home. At least 40% of your working time will be spent working in person.
