Autodesk has an exciting opportunity within our Named Accounts Technical Sales Organization, focused on Autodesk solutions for Manufacturing, Engineering and Plant industry. This ia remote position reporting directly to the Technical Solution Manager.
We have an opening for a Senior Solutions Engineer that is a team player who will help our Named Account customers scope and define solutions for their Integrated Factory Modeling (IFM) / Digital Factory systems to connect all disciplines across the lifecycle of plants or factories. Your mission will be to work directly with customers to understand their technical requirements and define a technical solution based on Autodesk products and technology, collaborating with Account managers, Technical Solution Executives, the Customer Success team, and Consulting to help our customers guide Digital Transformation across their organizations.
Responsibilities
You will work with our Named Account customers and internal team members to develop Digital Factory sales projects in Manufacturing, Engineering, and Plant industries
Be responsible for technical discoveries, solution scoping and planning, proof of concepts, demonstrations, and technical sales closing in the pre-sales phases
Explain and demonstrate the proposed solution from the technical challenges to be solved and its benefits, with a technical perspective, to customers at multiple levels in an organization
You will maintain a comprehensive knowledge of business processes, technology trends, and workflows within the area of expertise, and provide the insights and guidance to position the value of Autodesk's new and existing solutions and build relationships as a "Trusted Advisor"
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of experience working in Manufacturing, Engineering or Plant industry
OR 5+ years of experience in pre-sales of software or systems for design, construction, and operation of manufacturing/ production lines, plants, and factories
Understand the technology drivers in Manufacturing, Engineering and Plant industries and have the insights of future trends in the above industries
Knowledge and experience with Autodesk Factory Design Solutions (AutoCAD, Inventor, Factory Design, Navisworks)
Travel up to 50% may be required
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of the Autodesk Factory Design portfolio and workflows
Experience with Discrete Event Simulation software
Hands-on experience with design, implementation, and operation of Digital Factory systems in Manufacturing, Engineering, and Plant industries, as well as hands-on pre-sales experience with these systems
Experience in BIM (Building Information Modeling) or CDE (Common Data Environment)
Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering, plant or related industry. Master's degree holders are also welcome
Proficient in customer requirements gathering and conducting discovery sessions

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based sales roles, we expect a starting On-Target Earnings (OTE) between $152,400 and $220,550. OTE is comprised of base salary plus commission target for sales roles. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries and/or OTE for sales roles, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
