About the role
Due to the growing demand for technology protection in Singapore and regionally, our team in Singapore is currently looking for Electrical / Electrical & Electronics / Mechanical Engineers/ Physics to train as Patent Attorneys.
Candidates will be considered for a Patent Engineer position and will have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Physics. A PhD or Master’s degree or an equivalent amount of related work experience will be viewed very favorably. More importantly, candidates must exhibit strong English Language communication skills (both written and oral) and the capacity for understanding diverse technologies.
The role will involve all aspects of patent work including the drafting, filing and prosecution of patent applications in Singapore and abroad.
Successful candidates will receive training and development towards achieving the coveted professional status of a Singapore Registered Patent Attorney with very attractive remuneration at qualification level. Accordingly, candidates must be ready to make a long-term commitment (typically at least 4-5 years) to study outside of typical office hours to pass the necessary examinations to qualify as a Patent Attorney.
