£24.5k Basic PA starting salary. Role OTE factoring typical overtime and
enhancements £27k - 30k PA.
Successful completion of a minimum 12-week probationary period and assessments is required. Further increments and enhancements are aligned to the candidate’s specific role performance. Regular overtime & weekend work opportunities provided
Due to continued growth, our client is looking to expand their existing team with the addition of a highly motivated and career-minded individual to train in life safety systems engineering, based from home.
You will have the opportunity to travel around the UK developing your technical and process skills with training on a wide range of life safety systems and equipment types installed within blue-chip customer sites.
You will have 12 weeks of ‘on-the-job’ training, where you will learn more basic technical and statutory requirements in servicing, repair, installation, commissioning, and project engineering life safety systems, including fire alarms, voice alarms, fire extinguishers, and refuge & call systems.
Predominantly Lancs, Manchester, Liverpool, and surrounding areas., though some training & work may require further UK travel, including occasional working away from home, this would be communicated and agreed upon in advance. All travel, hotel & subsistence costs are met by the company
What you will need: -Trainee Life Safety Systems Electrical Engineer
· A technical mind with the desire and drive to progress within the fire industry
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
· Full driving licence you can use in the UK, with no more than 3 penalty points
A supplementary industry-recognised external training package will also be provided and tailored to the individual needs of the successful candidate, based on their previous experience, qualifications, and skills.
Full-time 37.5 hours Monday to Friday, although regular overtime and weekend opportunities are available.
Ideally, you will hold GCSE grade C (or equivalent) or above in Maths, English, and any technically related subject, City & Guilds 231 Electrical Parts 1&2 / IEEE 17th / 19th Edition / ONC is Electronic engineering or equivalent would be a great advantage but not essential
The basic salary will be based on your previous experience and qualifications.
