Job Purpose
To support the engineering team with full stack development. Position involves providing ideas, inputs, and analysis as a project team member.
Graco is a global leader in the design, development and manufacture of highly-engineered systems for numerous industrial and commercial applications. This position supports our Industrial Division (IND) in Minneapolis, MN. Products from IND includes advanced fluid dispense systems used in alternative energy, automotive and packaging industries (http://bit.ly/1ywIMe0) and finishing products, such as paint spraying systems used in the aerospace and automotive industries, as well as on furniture, windows and doors (http://bit.ly/1nPSYut).
Principal Activities/Duties:
Participate in new product development as a member of a design team
Help with Root Cause Testing
Run tests to optimize performance
Lab and field testing
Work on cost reduction projects
Develop and/or customize websites and web applications to meet requirements
Produce conceptual designs
Requirements:
Pursuing BS Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
Knowledge of Python or JVM (Java/Kotlin) backend
Experience with front-end development (HTML5 and JavaScript)
Comfortable in Linux (especially networking)
Familiar with SQL
Interest in Data Science / Analytics / Machine Learning
Experience UI/UX React or Angular preferred
Experience with DevOps preferred
Good oral and written communication skillI
Initiative to learn industry and project requirements
Ability to collaborate efforts with team members and work in a team environment
