Job Description
We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic, motivated, and committed Engineering Officers to be part of our Area Network teams based in East Kilbride, Cambuslang & Rutherglen areas.
Playing a vitally important role in keeping our towns, villages and people moving the main duties include assisting in the preparation of capital and revenue improvement programmes, preparation of Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders, ensuring works are carried out in accordance with appropriate health and safety requirements and dealing with all routine and statutory enquiries including those from Elected Members and the public.
You should be able to work under pressure to specific deadlines and direction, whilst working as part of a wider network team.
A commitment to customer focus, service delivery and responsiveness will be vital as will the ability to commit to our constant efforts to refine, innovate and improve service delivery.
You should also be able to demonstrate job specific behaviours as contained within the job profile.
An HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent is a minimum requirement for this post but applications may be considered from candidates who can demonstrate appropriate experience and notable progress in working towards the achievement of this qualification or similar.

You must have the ability to travel throughout the Council area (driving license?)

Responsibilities

• Responsible for liaising with other bodies and attending various meetings on behalf of the Council.
