WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week currently, or 40% of our time, at our London office.

Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Performance Engineer to join our performance team in hands on designing and delivering customer centric solutions at pace. You'll also get the opportunity to transition into development and DevOps tasks within the team, we coach our engineers to become truly T shaped across test ops within 3 years.
As an experienced engineer you will lead by example to maintain our high standards of values and behaviours and you will be comfortable coaching and mentoring more junior engineers, nurturing growth in our continuous learning culture and collaborating with the wider engineering community.

How you'll make a difference…

Use, improve and maintain existing automation test frameworks that ensure our products are of the highest quality.

Where appropriate design and build new frameworks or features within the frameworks and industrialise them for re-useability contributing to the inner-source model

Develop and improve the CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with other engineers and DevOps.

Explore new testing techniques, keeping up to date with industry changes.

Work in an Agile fashion to deliver highly effective testing of our products to ensure excellent delivery quality to colleagues and customers.

Take an active role in the wider engineering community to learn and grow individually but also working with others to help the community improve.

What you'll need…

Expert in HP Performance Centre & scripting performance tests
-
Expert in DynaTrace / AppDynamics / Splunk result validation and dashboarding.

Expert in developing performance tests for REST APIs, and Kafka type data flows.

A working understanding of virtualising services ideally using Parasoft or CA Lisa
-
A working understanding of Big Data & multi-cloud Architecture

Able to integrate performance testing into automated CI/CD pipelines.

Proven experience testing in containerised applications in cloud infrastructure.

Proven experience coaching and mentoring engineers in performance testing.

Proven experience building efficient and effective testing process and practises.
What would be a bonus…

Knowledge of OWASP top 10 and how to test them.

Experience testing Fraud Monitoring and Decisioning applications for high transaction volumes in a regulatory environment.

Comfortable with Dynatrace dashboarding.

Comfortable with UNIX shell scripting.

Comfortable with Jmeter and Gatlin and other load injection tooling.
