Job Summary

Under general supervision, sets up and operates CNC machinery that automatically mills, punches, drills, broaches or reams metal and/or plastic parts.  Make adjustments to adhere to established specifications.  Monitor work to ensure that machine is not malfunctioning.  Make general decisions as to quality, tolerances and operation sequence.    Assignments tend to be routine in nature.

• Perform machinery set up with minimum assistance, except on the most complex work and/or where exceptionally close tolerances are required.  Perform prototype work from detailed specifications.  Exercise considerable care of equipment, tools, parts, machines, and materials to prevent damage.
• Interpret drawings and route sheets to ascertain nature of assigned work orders.
• Compute accurate mathematical dimensions needed to manufacture parts of average complexity.  Use precision measuring instruments.
• Perform quality machining of various types of materials as needed.

Job Summary:
Under close supervision, performs a wide variety of electronic and electro-mechanical subassembly and assembly operations of a semi-skilled nature to build up and assemble simple units such as power supplies, modules, chassis drawers, cable harnesses, PC boards, electronic systems and subassemblies. Solders and de-solders through-hole and surface mount technology (SMT) components.  Installs and/or removes discrete components such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, inductors, etc., on to printed circuit assemblies (PCA’s), panels using both traditional soldering iron and or hot air techniques.  

Detailed Description:
 

• Follows production drawings, sample assemblies and verbal instructions with general supervision.  Understands and applies established acceptable workmanship practices to all facets of electronic assembly.
• Interprets and works from electromechanical schematics, drawings, work instructions and bills of material to understand the required parts and steps needed to complete the assigned assembly.
• Reads worksheets and wiring diagrams, selects components, such as transistors, resistors, relays, capacitors, and integrated circuits.
• Mounts assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, on chassis panel, requiring manual dexterity and the ability to work with simple hand tools, soldering equipment, volt meters and other related test instrumentation. Knowledge of cleaning, lead preparation, component mounting, parts orientation.
• Connects component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.
• Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding device.
• Crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, cements, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place.
• Uses hand and small power tools to place small components in boards, cables, connectors, etc. Inspect parts and performs basic tests.
• May perform other assembly tasks such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color coding parts and assemblies.

• Performs online go-not-go testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.

As the Powder Bed Additive Manufacturing Engineer, optimizes and develops processes to manufacture materials for use in additive applications that must meet specialized design and performance specifications. Develops new applications for additively manufactured materials. Works under general supervision. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action; a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Evaluates technical specifications and economic factors, recommending engineering and manufacturing actions for attainment of design objectives by performing the following duties.

Job Description

Summary

Designs, develops, modifies and evaluates electrical systems and equipment electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment, and/or other hardware systems found in industrial plants and applications. The systems, equipment and skids are process, mechanical and electrical power distribution systems and equipment found in nuclear power plants, commercial and government nuclear fuel processing plants, chemical plants, refineries and power plants.

.  All work may be required to be completed per the requirements of ASME NQA-1, 10CFR50 and 10CFR21 so familiarity and experience working within the rigors of those QA standards is a plus.    Determines design approaches and parameters.  Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.  May also review vendor capability to support product development. May use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform assignments. Applies principles and techniques of electrical engineering to accomplish goals. • Expert level knowledge of industry standards NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, NFPA 79, and UL 508A.
• Certified UL-508A Manufacturer Technical Representative (MTR) a plus 
• Working knowledge of EMI MIL standards, NUREGs, IEEE grounding standards, IEEE color books, IEC and DOE electrical standards is preferred.
• Ability to conceptualize an electrical design of high complexity for nuclear and non-nuclear projects during the bid phase of projects.
• Ability to mentor entry level and junior level engineers.
• Lead or serve as oversight on electrical designs and FAT testing per customer ISA 9001 or NQA-1 requirements for commercial and DOE customers.

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree (M.S.) and a minimum 7 of years of directly related experience is admissible.

• Facilitate 2nd and 3rd Party compliance audits.
• Facilitate Customer audits and survey.
• Track, Manage, and drive aged CAR ,SCAR, and audit action list.
• Facilitate, orchestrate teams, and complete government audit.
• QMS coordination with Corporate Teledyne Brown Huntsville QMS team.
• Administer and manage TAES documents for the site by ensuring they are maintained and being followed by the business. 

Requirements:

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 2 years prior relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience as determined by TAES.

Education and/or Experience Vocational or Technical Certificate in related field and a minimum of 5 years of directly related experience, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Essential Duties

• Follows all import/export requirements, consulting with facility import/export personnel as required.

Other Skills and Abilities

• Basic Knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/6 Sigma/Kaizen
• Knowledge of specific software (design, analysis, ERP…)

Other Qualifications

• US Citizenship with ability to attain/maintain government security clearance.
• Ability to travel (domestically/internationally) approximately __+/-10_%.
