Overview
The Production Department Manager is responsible for ensuring efficient production operations through resource optimization, monitoring production metrics, and implementing improvements to maximize productivity and minimize waste. This role demands a leader who can foster continuous improvement and operational excellence within the production team, ensuring that all activities comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

- Work Schedule: 5 Days, Monday to Friday / 8:00 A.M. – 4:45 P.M.
- Location: Jurong Island, Singapore
- Company Transportation: Provided from Jurong East MRT and Boon Lay MRT stations
- Remuneration: Up to $7,000 Monthly Base Salary + Annual Wage Supplement (AWS) + Variable Bonuses
Key Responsibilities
- Budget and Headcount Management: Oversee and manage the overall budget and headcount, developing and implementing programs to improve cost-effectiveness, safety, and manufacturing standards.
- Workplace Safety and Health: Ensure departmental safety and health compliance by conducting regular safety checks and inspections, promoting a safe working environment.
- ECR Reduction: Lead and manage the reduction and closure of Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) through regular inspections and effective change management processes.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with MS Control systems, policies, SOPs, and all regulatory requirements, conducting regular meetings and checks for QESH MS, ISO, and regulatory compliance. \
- Production Management: Ensure smooth and efficient production operations by planning and monitoring production material requirements and schedules, implementing and enforcing SOPs for production processes, and coordinating with external vendors, HQ staff, and other departments.
- New Product Implementation: Lead new product implementation and manage process changes, ensuring that all new products and processes meet quality and safety standards.
- Staff Development: Conduct regular coaching and feedback sessions, monitor employee performance, and support staff development to ensure a highly skilled and competent production team.
Entry Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in chemical manufacturing, with 5 years in a similar role.
- Experience with ISO certification processes.
- Strong knowledge of chemical plant management and ESH regulations.
- Strong planning, people management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
