Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Location: South West, Bristol
Type: Full time, Permanent
Monday to Friday, 8 to 5, Friday 8 to 4
Salary: up to £45,000 per annum
Overtime: Door to door O/T @ 1.5x on weekdays and 2x on weekends
The Company:
My client is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join their team. They specialise in industrial temperature control. As a Service Engineer, you'll be responsible for fixing and maintaining cooling systems in various industrial settings. You'll need to be detail-oriented, have technical knowledge, and be good at solving problems to keep the equipment running smoothly.
Responsibilities will include:
* Check and inspect existing cooling equipment to figure out what needs to be fixed, updated, or replaced.
* Fix complex problems with cooling systems by using special tools and techniques.
* Repair or replace broken equipment to get it running smoothly again.
* Make sure new cooling systems are installed correctly and meet the required standards.
* Work with customers and colleagues to answer questions, provide technical support, and share tips on how to use the systems properly.
* Regularly check and maintain cooling equipment to keep it running well and prevent problems.
* Measure and analyze how well the cooling systems are working to make sure they're efficient and effective.
* Keep accurate records of all work done on cooling equipment.
* Follow safety rules and company policies while working on customer sites.
* Work with colleagues to identify ways to improve products and services based on customer feedback and observations.
* On-site breakdowns, commissioning, and maintenance of process cooling systems.
Requirements:
- Engineering qualifications
- Driving Licence
- Health and Safety qualification (desirable but not required)
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in field service operations
- Experience with pump data plates, valves, heat exchangers, free coolers, adiabatic coolers and associated controls
