Your new role
As a Services Engineer, you will play a critical role in the delivery of both planned and reactive works across a diverse portfolio of public and operational buildings in Plymouth. This varied role will see you undertake several responsibilities, to include:
- Undertaking site inspections before deciding on the appropriate response, taking into consideration the council's maintenance strategy.
- Liaise with framework contractors in order to deliver responsive maintenance activities, liaising with both building users and other stakeholders throughout.
- Review and approve invoices and applications for maintenance payments.
This role will see you contribute to Plymouth City Council's carbon reduction agenda, whilst also ensuring condition reports are up to date, and accurate.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this position, you will need to have a good understanding and grounding within mechanical engineering within a building services, facilities or property maintenance environment. In order to demonstrate your capability in this area, you will need to hold at least an ONC or level three qualification.
