Key responsibilities:

· Engineering and management of Capital Projects through front end design, procurement, installation and commissioning of site infrastructure and process equipment to agreed specifications, ensuring that key stakeholders are consulted at each stage of the project lifecycle.

· Undertake and manage key aspects of project work such as: managing budget, schedule, scope and risk; participate and undertake design reviews; creation of documentation and management of data; etc.

· Collaboration with Operations, Process, Technical and Safety specialists the completion of User Requirement Specifications (URS), CAPEX requests, Hazard Study Documentation and Risk Assessments as required.

· Consider design for manufacture, process flow (factory layout) and sustainability principles when providing key inputs for the successful purchase of new process and service equipment.

· Leveraging outside partners and suppliers for solution development and design including the sourcing, recommendation, and selection of equipment suppliers (vendor bid analysis).

· Manage and control the safe installation of equipment on site including the supervision and safe management of on-site contractors.

· Support trouble-shooting during installation and start-up, ensuring a smooth hand over to operations

Experience and skills required-

· Degree level qualification or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering.

· Proven experience of the delivery of Capital Projects.

· Familiar with Hazard Studies and Risk Assessments.

· Awareness of working with and specifying site utilities is desired but not essential.

· Competence with CAD and Microsoft Project is desired but not essential.

· Experience with automation of fabrication and converting equipment is desired but not essential.

Our client is a long-standing partner of the UK Ministry of Defence. They are currently searching for a highly experienced Missile Mechanical Architect to spearhead the gathering and managing missile mechanical architecture requirements. The primary objective of this role is to ensure that missile performance is achieved efficiently within the allocated time and cost while strictly adhering to layout requirements.

The selected individual will expertly handle the verification evidence for missile performance, ensuring successful certification and robust defence of the design. This role entails supervising the mechanical architecture requirements and other associated responsibilities of the missile.

What we're looking for:

• Degree-level education with 10 years' experience in mechanical engineering or equivalent qualification with significant experience
• Technical management of internal and sub-contract activities
• Strong leadership skills, establishing clear engineering vision and strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Knowledge and experience in mechanical missile design, including static and dynamic analysis, planning for the environment, and thermal management
• Understanding of broader engineering disciplines, including aerodynamics, testability, and production
• Experience in developing proving logic and managing compliance evidence for Certificates of Design
• Full product life cycle experience
• Ability to influence senior managers and stakeholders

What you'll get to do as a Missile Mechanical Architect:

The tasks for the selected candidate include establishing and managing the Missile Airframe Task Requirements Specification, defining optimal mechanical architecture and interfaces for all missile variants, implementing GMA policies, validating the airframe, interfacing with customers, producing statements of work and plans, providing technical supervision, and managing budgets and resources.

We are seeking a professional and committed Senior Component Engineer part of a multi-disciplined team completing administration activities, technical advisement, making requests to suppliers and responding to internal queries. You will ensure we deliver a comprehensive component service offering technical advice and ensuring accuracy of data.

What we're looking for:

• Knowledge and experience in electromechanical components and materials
• Engineering Degree or relevant experience
• Understanding and appreciation of the REACH and RoHS regulations.
• Experience with tests and inspections on components.
• Knowledge of detailed records and documentation related to component specifications and testing results.
• Proficient in MS Office tools, Outlook, Excel, Word
• High concern for order and quality
• Able to deal with multiple issues, tasks and priorities concurrently
• Strong communication skills to facilitate communications with key stakeholders
