At Displayr, our mission is to make it easier for everyone to find and share the stories in their data. We do this by creating software that makes it easy to do all aspects of data analysis and reporting, from simple tables to machine learning, PowerPoint automation to online dashboards.

About the role
- Join our Performance & Observability team as the go-to Observability expert.
- Use your technical expertise to review our current Observability needs and map out a strategy that is aligned with our overall architecture.
- Working closely with internal stakeholders to define metrics and measures of success.
- Configuration and management of Splunk cloud.
- Instrument our code to provide insightful metrics and logs. Create and maintain dashboards & monitors for the core SLOs.
- Use your passion, knowledge and experience to mentor, train and promote Observability within the business and raise the bar for best practice.
- Participate in the evaluation of new candidates for the engineering team as required.
About You
The essential skills & qualities we are looking for include:
- You have at least 6 years of solid software development experience as a Software Engineer.
- You love Observability and have spent at least 3 years working in a role which was primarily focused on Observability.
- You've worked with Splunk or another observability tool such as AppDynamics, Data-Dog or Elastic in that time.
- You have at least 2 years working with Open-Telemetry.
- You have a Degree in Computer Science or similar.
- You have worked with large applications at scale.
- You deeply understand the platforms and libraries you use.
- Your CV is full of achievements you are proud of.
- You are concise, clear, and courteous in your communication.
- You are curious and innovative.
- You take calculated risks and are not afraid of failure.
- You have a strong bias to action.
