We have an exciting opportunity for two Network Engineers to join the Infrastructure team within Unified Communications department at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The Infrastructure team has a broad role in enabling communication across the hospitals. This includes telephony, mobile and unified communications services as well as infrastructure supporting IT services for these highly regarded hospitals.

The Network Engineer role is responsible for the day-to-day technical support and service delivery of all products and services supported by Unified Communications, including 10,000+ voice extensions, 100 cab rooms, a 1st/2nd line service desk capability, as well as the voice network upgrade and transition of core telephony platforms.

The role is based on site full time within Unified Communications and reports to the Service Desk Manager.

· To be responsible for day-to-day technical support of all products and services provided by Unified Communications

· To support the Service Desk Manager, in close cooperation with other colleagues, with the responsibility for successful implementation and ongoing management of Unified Communications applications and systems, as well as implementation of strategy and programmes of work.

· To take part in the duty engineer arrangements for the team, and to support the duty engineer and Service Desk Manager when required to do so, so that a consistent level of technical support is provided to the organisation.

· To be part of an out-of-hours on call rota, attending site to resolve faults and issues where required.

Contribute to the preparation of project plans, reports, quality improvement processes and development work to cost and time targets as agreed with the Service Desk Manager.

We are looking to recruit a motivated individual to the position of Hospital Engineer within the Building, Engineering and Maintenance Department.

You will support the Senior Engineer, in close cooperation with other Senior Estates Engineering staff, with the responsibility for successful ongoing operation and maintenance of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust premises and assets with a special emphasis on liaising with the Trust Projects teams and ensuring statutory compliance and a suitable environment for patient care is available at all times.

We are looking to recruit a Specialist Mechanical Craftsperson with a friendly and positive 'can do' attitude to join our team of Specialist Craftspersons within the the Estates department at Cambridge University Hospitals.

You will be responsible for calibration, fault finding and repair on
a wide range of engineering plant and equipment; for example, Heating systems, Ventilation systems (including theatre vent) and all other
associated hospital plant and equipment.

You will install, maintain, service and repair a full range of Estates Services equipment and provide technical advice to other Estates Maintenance staff and contractors to ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.

You will Undertake condition surveys, evaluate inspection reports andliaise with engineering managerial staff regarding plant or equipment failures and to request the supply of goods and/or services as necessary.

You will carry out planned preventative maintenance inspections and commissioning tests in accordance with Maintenance Manuals and Trust procedures. This includes the planning and organisation of complex activities such as shut downs and interruptions to power supplies or service. You should be able to physically carry out heavy repairs such as moving and handling heavy pumps, motors and equipment.

You will undertake essential repair works and general maintenance activities at the request of the Hospital Engineer.

As well as their core specialist skill a Mechanical Craftsperson will perform work including activities which are complex and/or non-routine.
• Installs, maintains, services and repairs full range of estates services equipment.
• Provides technical advice to other estates maintenance staff, contractors to ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.
• Undertakes condition surveys, evaluates inspection reports.

The role of the Hospital Engineer (Fire and Asbestos) is to support the Senior Buildings and Grounds Manager regarding Building infrastructure (including fire protection and Asbestos Management).

The post has two specific areas of work covering specialist knowledge and management of the site for the following:

FIRE - Passive fire protection. To manage and support the Maintenance services regarding PFP in collaboration with the Fire Team. We are looking to recruit a Mechanical Specialist Craftsperson with a friendly and positive 'can do' attitude to join our team of Specialist Craftspersons within the the Estates department at Cambridge University Hospitals.

You will be responsible for calibration, fault finding and repair on
a wide range of engineering plant and equipment. Example (Heating systems, Ventilation systems (including theatre vent) and all other
associated hospital plant and equipment.

You will install, maintain, service and repair a full range of Estates Services equipment and provide technical advice to other Estates Maintenance staff and contractors to ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.

You will Undertake condition surveys, evaluate inspection reports andliaise with engineering managerial staff regarding plant or equipment failures and to request the supply of goods and/or services as necessary.

You will carry out planned preventative maintenance inspections and commissioning tests in accordance with Maintenance Manuals and Trust procedures. This includes the planning and organisation of complex activities such as shut downs and interruptions to power supplies or service. You should be able to physically carry out heavy repairs such as moving and handling heavy pumps, motors and equipment.

You will undertake essential repair works and general maintenance activities at the request of the Hospital Engineer.

As well as their core specialist skill, a Mechanical Craftsperson will perform work including activities which are complex and/or non-routine.
• Installs, maintains, services and repairs full range of estates services equipment.
• Provides technical advice to other estates maintenance staff, contractors to ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.
• Undertakes condition surveys, evaluates inspection reports.
