Continued from Summary: Provide required knowledge and application of engineering, mathematics, statistical analysis, modeling/simulation, and/or other scientific principles, methods, and techniques. Apply knowledge in the planning, research, design, development, test, evaluation, integration, acquisition, dissemination, sustainment, modification, and/or exploitation of highly complex information technology (IT) systems to support the Air Force's mission objectives. Facilitate the integration of network and network-reliant information technology capabilities supporting the nation's warfighters with decisive cyber capabilities for mission success. Provide decision quality data, statistical models, and analysis to implement and maintain a resilient network environment, core services, and infrastructure that preserves the operational advantage. Gather and generate organizational metrics for leadership to facilitate data-driven decisions. Assess current performance, identify opportunities for performance improvement, and provide objective analysis of the second and third order impacts technology decisions, configurations, and architectures.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Plans, organizes, and directs first-level supervisory activities.
- Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
- Leads a broad range of analyses and/or engineering assignments for the development and documentation of operational concepts and strategies for assigned programs/projects.
- Represents AFNIC with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
- Accomplishes professional development and maintains technical proficiency through professional interaction with technical and professional societies, associations, academia, symposia, contractors, research and development organizations, and participation in formal training programs.
