• This colleague will be responsible for developing analytical strategies in support of Active Pharmaceutic Ingredients (API) and/or pharmaceutical drug products (DP) across drug development phases, including, but not limited to supporting manufacturing process development, developing, validating and transferring analytical methods, designing stability studies for shelf-life assignments, and developing impurity control strategies.

The CfOR gives evidence regarding the frequency and distribution of disease or the clinical burden of disease, the natural history or clinical course of disease, the design of clinical trials, cost and utilization patterns, and the safety and efficiency of interventions.

The CfOR Manager is recognized as a strong scientific contributor and a first or contributing author for papers in peer-reviewed journals, abstracts for scientific congresses, and internal reports that improve the company’s mission. Preferably, CfOR Managers will be located on the Amgen corporate campus in Thousand Oaks, CA, but remote working opportunities are also available.

Key activities of a CfOR Manager include:

• Providing support in the design and execution of RWE studies across the product lifecycle
• Performing and handling research projects involving the analysis of multiple types of data including medical claims, electronic health records, and prospective observational cohort studies.
• Contributing to the development and implementation of innovative analytic methods, capabilities, and tools to enable rapid, scalable, and reproducible RWE.

The position of trainer is per-diem and state/city specific.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Trainer will:

• Remotely set up training appointment directly with the customer/caregiver
• Travel to the customers home setting within the general geographic location of the Trainer's home
• Remotely demonstrate and instruct the customer and/or their caregiver on the proper use and care of the PT/INR equipment
• Explain test reporting options
• Communicate and present themselves in a professional manner
• Accurately document and submit patient training records
• Maintain communications with Acelis Connected Health by cell phone, email and internet access
• Utilize secure encrypted email to communicate anything that includes customers PHI
• Have reliable transportation

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS | EDUCATION:

• The Trainer must have clinical experience. Current Registered Nurse.
• Direct experience/exposure to anticoagulation management, homecare or allied health is preferred
• Health education training experience a definite plus
• No lifting over 15 pounds required without assistance

COMPETENCIES/ EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a member of the nephrology healthcare team, you will provide safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.

• Sets up, tests, and operates hemodialysis machines for patient treatments.
• Obtains and documents necessary pre- and post-treatment vital signs and weight for each patient.
• Evaluates vascular access pre-treatment and performs vascular access cannulation.
• Evaluates intradialytic problems and provides intervention as prescribed by physician order or as directed.
• Monitors patients’ response to dialysis therapy.
• Evaluates patient prior to termination of venous access and discontinues dialysis treatment according to established procedures.
• Reports any significant information and/or change in patient condition directly to supervisor.
• Enters all treatment data into the designated clinical application in an accurate and timely manner.
• Collects, labels, appropriately prepares, and stores lab samples according to required laboratory specifications.
• Cleans and disinfects dialysis machine surface, chair, equipment, and surrounding area between treatments according to facility policy.
• Assists other healthcare members in providing patient education.
• Prepares, organizes, and efficiently uses supplies and equipment to prevent waste.

EDUCATION AND LICENSES:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Qualities and traits: dependable, compassionate, caring, supportive, collaborative, reliable.
• Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or a related facility (preferred but not required).
• Continued employment is dependent on successful completion of the Fresenius Medical Care dialysis training program and successful completion of CPR certification.
