Manchester Safeguarding Partnership are looking for a Learning, Engagement and Partnership Co-ordinator Grade 7 (PART-TIME) to join our Manchester Safeguarding Partnership Business Unit.

The Manchester Safeguarding Partnership is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, self-motivated creative person who has experience in the development and delivery of learning and improvement resources for the partner agencies of Safeguarding Partnership. The ambition of the partnership is to develop a ‘learning hub approach’ in order to meet the requirements of national guidance and local arrangements for safeguarding and promote effective integrated services delivery. We believe good communication and effective engagement will enhance multi agency working.

We are committed to delivering high quality inter-agency learning and development including virtual training sessions, that supports professionals, volunteers and the independent sector in their work to safeguard and promote the welfare of vulnerable adults, children and young people.

The role will have a focus on:

1. Ensuring all learning materials, resources and courses promote a shared understanding of roles and responsibilities across all agencies and that learning from practice reviews, quality assurance processes and best practice is at the core of our action.
2. Effective working together is based on professional trusting relationships where child and person-centred approaches ensure the needs and views of our beneficiaries are at the core of our improvements.
3. The post holder will support improvement in practice and systems through engagement with a range of stakeholders, this will entail a out-ward facing focus, and employ models such as co-production, embracing digital and other creative mediums to communicate our vision.

To fulfil the expectations above the post holder will be required to evidence

1. Experience and knowledge of children and adult protection and safeguarding practice.
2. Experience of implementing and delivering multi agency/single agency training programmes.
3. Significant understanding of professional roles and responsibilities within a safeguarding context.
4. Confident in preparing learning and improvement material including digital resources.
5. Well organised with the ability to prioritise without high levels of direct managerial support.
6. Good communication skills, including written and verbal.

There is always a high demand for supply cover, particularly in KS2, and there is a particularly high demand come January. We are currently seeing an increase in demand for supply teachers and so, with that in mind, we're looking for individuals who are confident in teaching this age range and can come in and hit the ground running. This could be perfect if you only want to work part-time, if you're new to teaching or if you'd like to take a step back from all the full responsibilities as a full-class teacher.

Your new role
Supply cover teachers are responsible for covering lessons that are left absent by the class teacher, so in this role you will be using existing lesson plans left for the class and making sure these are carried out to a high standard. You will need to ensure pupils are still fully engaged with the learning and be adaptable when required. You should be able to build relationships quickly and hold strong behaviour management skills. This is a great role to broaden your experience working in various schools and year groups and to expand your knowledge.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, hold qualified teacher status (QTS) gained in the UK. You should be enthusiastic, approachable and be able to hit the ground running. Good knowledge of the KS2 curriculum is preferred, however, this could be a perfect role for an NQT/ECT that is looking to gain some experience working within the primary school environment.
