Job Description
Job Summary:
The Sim Team, PD Training and MTC Level III manager is responsible for leading the daily operations of these three teams. The Level III manager will work closely with the CRC and Training Level II manager to help meet organizational goals. As part of Training Integration, the Level III manager will maintain a Sim Supervisor qualification, participate in simulations, coordinate corporation between the Sim Team, PD Training and the MTC groups. The Level III manager will write weekly activity reports, prepare presentations for MOSSI and NASA management as well as support meetings.
Education Required:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in engineering, science, or related field.
Years of Experience Required:
The candidate must possess at least 3 years' work experience in training, coordination, and communications in a science, or engineering-based environment. Previous space operations experience in a flight control discipline is highly desired.
Knowledge Required:
The Sim Team, PD Training, MTC Level III manager should be knowledgeable in the following areas:
- Proven working experience in flight control.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in planning and conducting simulation-based training.
- Working knowledge of payload life cycle and operations
- Working knowledge of learning technologies and their application
- Strong leadership and planning skills
Skills Required:
Great interpersonal communication skills are required for working and negotiating with customers, international partners, and peers. The successful candidate is a high energy individual who is a self-starter with the ability to learn quickly. Willingness to check and double check work to avoid errors is required. The individual must be easily adaptable to changing priorities and tasks, forward thinking, able to envision the big picture, and a strong problem solver. The candidate should be assertive, professional, confident, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong leadership and planning skills are required.
