Applicant must be able to provide an appropriate, relevant and differentiated curriculum which allows for progression within and across the School and within the curricula are (English, Mathematics, Science, Global Perspectives, Business Studies, teaching and learning, etc)
· The schemes of learning and resources for the curriculum area.
· Supporting colleagues to develop effective teaching and learning strategies within the curriculum area.
· The quality of the teaching and learning of students in the curriculum area.
· The standards of student attainment, achievement and behaviour within the curriculum area
· The successful delivery of the curriculum in a whole school context and integrate other curriculum where appropriate.
· Supporting the process of Self-Evaluation and development planning within the curriculum area.
· A Master’s degree in Education is prefererred. If currently pursuing, Please submit evidence)
· Experience and familiarity with International education is helpful
· A track record of Good or Outstanding teaching
· Evidence of appropriate in-service training
· Any other area that may value-add the institution with respect to student learning and achievement.
· Strong organisational skills are essential, not only to manage your own time effectively but also to be ultimately responsible for the teachers who are under your department.
· Dedication to the end goal of delivering exceptional teaching is essential.
· Patience is incredibly important because there can be many barriers / challenges to day-to-day tasks, and the candidate is expected to show empathy towards both staff and pupils.
· Willing to go the ‘extra mile’. This covers a multitude of actions, and the hours often extend well beyond class time.
