Recruitment of Dressage Riding Instructor in Singapore
National Equestrian Center, a Public riding school under the Equestrian Federation of Singapore is looking for a Dressage Riding Instructor to provide high-quality dressage instruction to riders of varying skill levels, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment while promoting the well-being of both horses and riders.
1. JOB DESCRIPTION
A. Aim to fulfill our Riding School's (RS) vision to promote equestrian sports and raise participation at all levels, with a strong focus on Dressage from beginners to high performance.
B. Collaborate with our team of instructors in managing our Riding School, which offers public riding and livery yard with competition facilities, with a particular emphasis on Dressage training.
C. Develop and scale our Dressage training programs for riders and horses at all levels within our Riding School.
D. Enhance our National Coaching development program, including Para Dressage, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of Dressage training.
2. JOB DUTIES
A. Deliver high-quality Dressage lessons and equestrian activities, ensuring a strong focus on Dressage techniques and competition preparation.
B. Manage the condition and schooling of our Riding School horses specifically for Dressage lessons and competitions.
C. Organize and handle horse care matters in collaboration with the Riding Executive, ensuring optimal care for Dressage horses.
D. Report on daily operational matters to the management team (including General Manager), with specific updates on Dressage training progress and needs.
E. Work alongside the Riding Executive to manage schedules, filing, and records, particularly for Dressage programs.
F. Complete instructors' administrative tasks, including submitting monthly reports on operational matters related to Dressage training to the Riding Executive.
G. Upgrade stable staffs’ competency and qualifications in Dressage riding and stable management.
H. Organize and handle daily stable matters related to grooms and vet care, ensuring horses and facilities are maintained for Dressage activities.
3. SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
A. Equestrian Australia, FEI, or BHS Intermediate Coaching certification (or equivalent) with at least 5 years of relevant experience, particularly in Dressage.
B. Proven experience coaching riders at Concours de Dressage International (CDI) levels or equivalent international competition experience in Dressage.
C. Strong understanding of Dressage, competition rules, and training methodologies.
D. Excellent communication skills to effectively instruct and motivate riders.
E. Ability to manage and care for horses, ensuring their well-being and performance readiness.
F. Passion for promoting Dressage and developing riders’ skills from beginners to elite levels.
G. International candidates are welcome but Tertiary Degree (any discipline) is preferred for application of Work Pass in Singapore
