* **Contract Management:** In certain cases, you may be responsible for managing specific contracts in discussion with the Directors. Ensure all operations run smoothly and that issues are identified and resolved promptly.

**Must-Have Skills and Experience:**


* **Proven experience in a similar role** within joinery or metalwork, ideally with a focus on sales and estimating.
* **Strong knowledge of joinery and metalwork** to manage the sales and estimating functions effectively.
* **At least 2 years' experience** in sales management or a similar relevant role.
* **Leadership and team management** experience, with the ability to oversee staff and provide guidance and training to junior estimators.

Excellent communication skills are essential as we liaise closely with the Training Programme Directors (TPDs) who are the educators (Consultants) of our postgraduate doctor workforce, and the Medical Staffing teams (Trusts) where they are training.

You will also need to have a keen eye for details and data quality as mistakes in our database could result in doctors showing up to the wrong hospital, or not being paid correctly.

As an administrator in the Programmes Team, you will request rotation information from the Training Programme Director (TPD - Consultants) and input this information on to our database. Diplomacy and problem-solving skills will be key.

Our doctors can apply to work less than full-time or take breaks from training. Both are time sensitive applications with impact on external stakeholders. You will be responsible for processing these for your given specialties and so will need to be able to prioritise well, especially during the busy rotation periods.

In addition, our team is often the first point of contact for our doctors, and you will need to monitor a busy e-mail inbox and respond to a wide variety of queries.

The Education Consultant undertakes responsibilities in the Program Management & Student Recruitment Team. The Education Consultant serves as the point of contact between the institution and prospective students. The incumbent identifies and educates prospective students on the institution’s program offerings and supports prospective students by providing information and assistance with closing. The Education Consultant reports to the Manager, Program Management & Student Recruitment and works closely with the Marketing & Communications Team and Student Experience Team to ensure revenue target achievement.

Responsibilities

• Sales and Student Engagement: Actively seek, follow up, and close sales leads, making effective sales pitches to promote the institution’s programs. Address inquiries from prospective students across multiple platforms (e.g., walk-ins, online, events) and recommend programs tailored to their needs.
• Outreach and Relationship Management: Arrange appointments with students, Heads of Departments, and HR Managers through targeted outreach. Build long-term relationships with students and partners to foster positive engagement. Develop new business opportunities and explore avenues with existing and new students or partners.
• Recruitment and Marketing Activities: Participate in roadshows, education fairs, conferences, exhibitions, and workshops. Conduct market research and organize recruitment activities in Singapore and the region.
• Tracking and Reporting: Follow up on leads, applications, enrolments, and payments via phone, email, chats and social media. Collect student feedback to improve processes and outcomes. Maintain detailed records of contacts and collaborate with management to achieve and exceed enrolment targets.

A three-year Postdoctoral Research Fellowship is available in a collaborative H2020 project entitled “OPTIPATH – Adaptive OPTIcal metasurfaces for real-time, label-free and non-destructive multidimensional digital PATHology”. This research will be undertaken at the interface of the Quantum Bio-Photonics Group in the Aston Institute of Photonics Technologies and the Department of Mechatronics and Biomedical Engineering (MBE) in the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences, Aston University, UK.

This is a joint research programme capitalising on the knowledge and expertise of the 7 partners across of Europe in the modern photonics, bio photonics and pathology. The primary objective of the project is to develop a non-destructive, label-free, real-time, 3D imaging technique for tissue samples, enabling live histopathological assessment during surgical and oncological treatments. This approach aims to provide a multidimensional pathology sensing paradigm by utilizing highly resolved and adaptive structured light with Orbital Angular Momentum, combined with 3D polarization and spectral information.

As the successful applicant you will be responsible for conducting independent research focused on developing theoretical formalism and a Monte Carlo-based computational tool to simulate the propagation of complex structured light carrying Orbital Angular Momentum through turbid, tissue-like scattering media with complex internal structures. You will be working in collaboration with the other project partner to design and the development of histopathological 2D/3D tissue imaging system utilizing vectorial structured light and confocal scanning system.

You will have a PhD and research experience in Monte Carlo modelling of light propagation in tissue-like scattering medium, structured light with Orbital Angular Momentum, polarization optics and laser speckles.

The position will be based in the Aston Institute of Photonic Technologies and will report to Prof I. Meglinski.
