Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Manages staff responsible for Training and Development activities at the El Segundo refinery.
Ensures all employees receive the fundamental knowledge and skills needed to perform job with excellence.
Provides development, documentation, maintenance and implementation of all learning and development (L&D) programs and materials.
Collaborates with Refinery Leadership in establishing L&D policies, manuals, procedures and philosophies.
Ensures training is aligned with business requirements.
Collaborates with Refinery Leadership to determine appropriate training metrics. Ensures measurements are established and deployed to track the effectiveness of services to improve organizational capability and achieve business objectives.
Ensures processes are in place to validate and verify current L&D processes and activities to meet objectives.
Manages the L&D Department as a business function including business planning, budgeting and all personnel activities.
Manages Refinery documentation and recordkeeping systems to assure compliance with Refinery and Corporate standards.
Develops contacts with outside training and development organizations.
Provide Learning and Development activities as required and developed.
Required Qualifications:
Leadership
Demonstrated strong leadership behaviors and skills. Ability to inspire others, provide support and assist staff in achieving higher levels of performance and success.
Ability to set clear expectations for the group and use metrics to assist with performance measurement
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior supervisory experience: strong leadership behaviors and skills, works with little or no direct supervision.
Certifications: 360 Coach, Franklin Covey, Ken Blanchard leadership development programs.
Master´s degree in Organizational Development, Education, Instructional Systems Design or related field
Ability to facilitate learning as an established and credible instructor
Ability to build strong collaborative relationships internally and externally to support business goals & leverages networks to identify opportunities to collaborate and drive results.
Using learning metrics and analytics to measure the impact of learning solutions

The selected candidate’s compensation will be determined based on his or her skills, experience, and qualifications. Please note that the compensation and benefits listed below are only applicable to successful candidates who are hired onto local United States payroll.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $147,900 – $256,300.
