The incumbent will:

• Serve as a consultant and advisor, and based on personal expertise, provides scientific and technical consultation in all program areas.
• Represent NCHS as the expert for the estimation, measurement, and quality of national health statistics at various interagency, coordinating and advisory committees, as well as national and international professional organizations.
• Serve as scientific and methodological leader, planning and coordinating NCHS's basic and applied research program, including but not limited to research in the fields of mathematical and health statistics, survey design and methodology, disclosure and confidentiality, and questionnaire design and survey measurement.

• Engage in solving some of the most difficult and important problems facing NCHS and the rest of the scientific community, including precedent setting problems associated with rapidly evolving data environment.
• Plan, manage, organize, and directs all programs, surveys and research activities of the Division as carried out by subordinate supervisors and the highly trained and skilled staff of professional Mathematical Statisticians, Behavioral Scientists, Health Statisticians, and Computer Scientists.
• Consult and collaborate in research projects with HHS, CDC and other Federal organizations, state and local governments, universities, private research organizations, and international agencies and organizations.

As a Chief Learning Officer, you will perform the following duties:

• Direct and manage corporate learning and development programs for all of GSA. Ensure that long-range learning initiatives are aligned with GSA’s mission, strategic goals, and priorities. Provide leadership and direction for enterprise-wide training and development programs, which includes managing and developing all virtual/on-line training programs as well as overseeing the operation of GSA’s learning management system.

• Design, develop, and deliver service-wide training programs and initiatives to meet a wide range of employee development needs, ranging from technical Federal Acquisition Service and Public Building Service subjects to administrative, support, customer service and senior-level leadership and organizational effectiveness courses.

• Conduct training needs assessments and provides feedback mechanisms, for survey data and evidence on managing results. Conduct surveys to determine training needs required by organizations to meet long- and short-range goals. Monitor organizational implementation and updating of plans. Develop programs and design courses to meet common and special developmental needs of GSA Central Office Services and Staff Offices and the regions.

• Forge relationships with key external learning organizations, including universities, colleges, learning solutions providers, and other educational entities to ensure the effective exchange and dissemination of professional and technical information. Identify and incorporate best practices from industry and government into the learning and development strategy and ensure application of latest developments in training practices, methods (to include blended and social learning), delivery, equipment, devices and aids in GSA training and career programs.

• Supervise and direct the work of a staff of professional and support personnel. Carry out human capital responsibilities to ensure productivity and efficient use of resources. Organize and plan staff work assignments on an annual basis. Recommend priority program goals, objectives, and action plans to the Director, Human Capital Strategic Planning, Policy and Training Division.

A Day in the Life… 
The Director, Co-op, Career & Experiential Education is accountable for strategic planning, financial & capital management, people leadership, policy development, community engagement and the overall operational effectiveness of the division. The incumbent will oversee a team of professionals who deliver programs and services supporting the University’s diverse and complex co-op program operations, curricular and co-curricular experiential education, and career development operations. The Director also has strategic oversight of industry and employer engagement, career curriculum and skill development research, student engagement, marketing strategies, technology delivery, community outreach, and the Gerald B. Mitchell Centre of Excellence in Career and Experiential Education.

As the Director, Co-op, Career & Experiential Education, you will: 

• Establish, execute and oversee multi-year divisional strategic and operational plans in collaboration with students, staff, faculty, and departments throughout the University, to support common goals and objectives;
• Establish, track and report on key metrics and performance indicators which demonstrate the effectiveness of core services;
• Oversee the strategic programming with students, industry, faculty, alumni and the Niagara community;
• Research best practices and emerging trends in the domains of Co-op, Career & Experiential Education, investigating the University’s capacity to adopt and operationalize;
• Serve as Chair or member of various Committees or Task Forces, and as a leader within the local, provincial or national network of related associations;
• Create and implement divisional operational and administrative guidelines, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with University policies and procedures, leveraging best practices where possible;
• Develop an annual divisional budget, including forecasting and allocation of student fees, fees for services and special event payments;
• Engage in the strategic planning for CCEE capital budget planning to ensure the institutional sustainability and future growth of recruitment and retention of students;
• Create an effective organizational plan that facilitates and supports the successful execution of University and divisional strategy, objectives, and operational goals;
• Develop and monitor metrics to track programs and operational performance;
• Prepare reports, analysis and facilitate presentations for various audiences;
• Lead the development of integrated marketing/communications and recruitment strategies for the division;
• Provide co-op, career and experiential education services that meet the current and emerging needs of the University community;
• Identify, cultivate and maintain relationships with community partners to provide appropriate co-op, career and experiential education opportunities;
• Drive value and revenue-generating opportunities to the University by developing a strategy to optimize programming, fundraising, sponsorship, and philanthropic opportunities;
• Collaborate widely within the University to find synergies and efficiencies in operating with on-campus units, Faculties and Divisions;

What you need to Succeed…

• Masters degree in a related field and a minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience in the field of co-op, career, and/or experiential education;
• A minimum of ten (10) years supervisory or management experience;

• Knowledge of academic affairs, including transfer students (internal and external), international students, work term permits, and exchange programs;

Major Accountabilities

• Performs corporate level assessments of emerging, newly published, or recently altered standards impacting the reprocessing field.

• Leads critique/evaluation of product design and directions for use with respect to reprocessing objectives. 

• Provides expert technical guidance, maintains local and corporate reprocessing procedures, directs/conducts reprocessing verifications. 

• Works with teams to address reprocessing challenges, design reprocessing methods, and validate methods to support project objectives.

• Develops superior cleaning, disinfection, drying, and sterilization test methods as needed to advance state of the art practices and customer needs.

• Provides QA/RA with summaries or guidance in regulatory submissions, audits, or preparing IFUs.

• Develops in-depth understanding of configuration, application, and engineering of reusable devices, establishes product families and adoption practices.

• Leads efforts to select/approve external labs as strategic partners in developing better reprocessing regimens; develops in house test methods as feasible.

• Collaborates with PSE to ensure technical files are updated as needed to stay compliant to current standards.

• Lead efforts to address customer inquiries, develop FAQ resources with RA/QA or Global Med Info groups.

• Create (or oversee) protocols, coordinate testing, verification reports, needed to support reprocessing instructions.  Identify when reverification is required.

Experience:

10+ years of experience in QSR/EU MDR compliant medical device development including ability to:

• Provide global technical leadership.  Influences effectively in a cross-functional environment (e.g. multi-site, NPI, customer inquiry support)

• Provide SME interpretation of: ISO 11135, ISO 11138-X, ISO 10993-X, ISO 17664-1/-2, ISO 17665-X, ISO 11607-X, ISO 15883-X, EN 13060, EN 285, AAMI ST 79, AAMI TIR 12/30, AAMI ST8, AAMI ST98, ISO 14161, EN 14885, EN ISO 11737-X, FDA Endotoxin and Reprocessing guidelines, RKI Guidance, MHP Central Sterilization supplements.

• Effectively communicate complex concepts in presentations, regulatory submissions, and in technical reports to global audiences.

• Develop reprocessing methods, lead IFU validations, resolve cleaning and sterilization concerns during development.

• Apply detailed knowledge of common microbiological and biochemical laboratory methods (sterility & disinfection testing, protein/TOC/endotoxin assays, etc.)

SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Museum Director, the Assistant Director for Education and Community Engagement supports the mission and goals of The Charles J. Muth Museum of Hinchliffe Stadium through the development of interpretive educational programs, and by fostering a supportive relationship with the community, local families, schools, and organizations. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of museum education and community learning including designing and teaching innovative youth, adult, and multi-generational educational programming, coordinating and leading school field trips, organizing summer youth programs, developing partnerships with community organizations, developing in-gallery programming connected to permanent and temporary exhibitions and assisting with other education, and museum programming as needed.

By offering relevant, compelling, and engaging educational programs that connect the past to contemporary and future issues, the overall goal of these programs is to educate the community, and a worldwide audience, about the rich history of Hinchliffe Stadium. Not only the role that it played in the cultural life of Paterson, but in the complex history of African-American Baseball and its impact on the social advancement of Paterson and America, while increasing attendance and building community and financial support for the Museum. Entering at a pivotal moment at the launch of the museum, the Assistant Director for Education and Community Engagement will serve a key role in shaping the Museum’s Education and Engagement mission and contribute to the future of the Museum and the restored Hinchliffe Stadium by increasing program accessibility and awareness while collaborating with a variety of teams/departments to develop and implement informative programs that engage learners in examining its past so that they may understand the present, and envision their role in shaping the Stadium’s future along with its place in the community.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate and implement diverse and inclusive mission-centered education, engagement, and learning opportunities in connection with specific exhibitions and the collection as a whole.

• Manage education and public program initiatives, encouraging diverse, multi-generational audiences and fostering active learning and engagement

• Develop and lead K-12 group programs (onsite, offsite, and virtual field trips); oversee docents and staff assigned to Museum education; and lead select new initiatives as funding permits.

• Serve as a liaison to local communities to assess ways in which The Charles J. Muth Museum of Hinchliffe Stadium can leverage its resources and advance its mission through creative programming that meets community needs while growing museum attendance.

• Collaborate with the Museum Director to develop and refine interpretive plans for the permanent collection and exhibits that offer new and varied entry points for visitor-learning.

• Collaborate with the Museum Director to design and develop learning content that adheres to NJ State teaching standards for history, math, and science.

• Work with local school boards and local teachers to continually adapt, coordinate, and lead Sense of Place programming.

• Research, design, and implement interpretive materials (analog and digital) for permanent galleries and temporary exhibits with a specific focus on experiential learning.

• Develop a robust calendar of year-round offerings for educators, including tours, workshops, continuing education courses, talks, and content production. 

• Maintain data regarding constituents served and programs offered, including school tour numbers, student visits, teacher workshops, public programs, audience attendance, revenue earned etc.

• Assist in developing museum lecture and workshop series that explore temporary exhibit themes and advance community dialogue.

• Assist in grant writing for program funding.

• Work with the University’s Center for Community engagement to establish an advisory group of faculty/center directors to build interdisciplinary connections across campus.

• Work with University staff to develop public relations and marketing strategies for the promotion of education initiatives and programming, including coordination and development of print and electronic materials.

• Interview prospective subordinate staff members and makes recommendations concerning selection recruits, hires, and supervises a diverse team of student staff and interns.

• Plans and develops budgets for educational programs and guest speakers.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED: 

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in art history, education, museum studies, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience working in museums, cultural institutions, or other educational settings.

• Experience planning, developing, and implementing programs in a museum setting or comparable organization.

• Committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion and a passion for advancing equity within cultural institutions. 

• Excellent public speaking, writing, and editing skills. 

• Experience developing curriculum or educational materials for K-12 audiences

About the Opportunity

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Student Financial Services (SFS) team as an Associate Director of Compliance, Audit, and Training. In this critical role, you will work under the direction of the Director of Compliance, Audit, and Training. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that Student Financial Services complies with federal, state, and institutional policies.

To achieve this, you will research, develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures, ensuring they are effective in achieving compliance and meeting the needs of SFS leadership and operational teams. You will proactively advise and assist operational areas to align processes with compliance requirements. You will collaborate with other units to organize and deliver a comprehensive training program for SFS employees. You will conduct internal audits and risk assessments to ensure quality control of Title IV processes. Additionally, you will participate in federal and state on-site audit visits and assist with any corrective actions.

We are looking for someone who is organized, proactive, and capable of working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You should be a self-starter who can establish plans, manage timelines, and complete assignments with minimal supervision.

A successful candidate will possess an astute ability to interpret, apply, and communicate federal and state law and regulation. You prioritize accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail. You should be comfortable working independently and collaborating with others across the organization to achieve common goals.

This position is based in Boston, MA and is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develops and maintains SFS policy manuals, ensuring that they are effective in achieving compliance and meeting the needs of SFS leadership and operational teams.
• Proactively identifies and analyzes potential risks and exposures, providing clear guidance and hands-on assistance as needed to align processes and operations with compliance requirements.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of Title IV and state laws and regulations, keeping leadership and staff informed.
• Serves as a compliance expert and resource on projects and initiatives.
• Collaborates with Customer Experience (CX) and Operational units to design and deliver a robust training program across all SFS service areas, for both new and existing staff.
• Conducts internal audits and presents results to Director of Compliance and SFS leadership.
• Informs the Director of Compliance and Dean of SFS of any issues that may compromise compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
• Participates in federal and state on-site audit visits and assists with any corrective actions.
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of four years of experience in federal student aid programs, or compliance, audit, and training 
• Possess a basic understanding of legislative and regulatory processes, including how regulations are made and enforced.
• Excellent research and analytical skills, including the ability to locate and analyze relevant legal and regulatory information.
• Experience with large-scale systems in financial aid or student accounts preferred. 
• Excellent ability to communicate complex compliance requirements to both technical and non-technical audiences in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
• Ability to foster collaboration and rapport with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and solve problems.
• Proven proactive work style; adept at anticipating and addressing challenges.

The Centre for Lifelong Learning and Individualised Cognition (CLIC) invites applications for the position of Principal Research Scientist.

Key Responsibilities:

• To support CLIC Directors Prof Zoe Kourtzi (University of Cambridge) and Prof Annabel Chen (Nanyang Technological University) in providing leadership and day-to-day management of all CLIC research activities

• To supervise and coordinate all CLIC programme staff (senior research fellow, research fellows, research associates, assistants and administrative staff) employed in Singapore

• To facilitate co-ordination and communication between PIs from the University of Cambridge (UK) and Nanyang Technological University (Singapore)

• To facilitate efficient work integration across the different individual work packages

• To contribute scientific leadership on the CLIC programme of research, with a particular focus on the neuroscience of learning across the lifespan. Subject to the approval of the funder, it is anticipated that the post holder would be part of the principal investigator team for CLIC.

• To provide oversight of required academic inputs to funder reporting and grant terms compliance processes to ensure high-quality, programmatically synergetic communications with funder and funder advisory committees

• To be responsible for ensuring the programme’s ethics and governance responsibilities are properly fulfilled

• To promote CLIC research activities within Singapore and internationally, with a view to widening the international research impact

• Communicate material of a specialist or highly technical nature to a wide range of scientific and non-scientific stakeholders

• Develop links with external contacts such as other educational and research bodies and Singapore government ministries, agencies and other stakeholders

• Preparation of proposals and applications to external bodies, e.g., for funding and contractual purposes to continue, further support and/or progress the research goals of the CLIC programme

• To conduct individual and collaborative research projects within the scope of the CLIC programme and write up for presentation and publication

• Develop links with external contacts such as other educational and research bodies and Singapore government ministries, agencies and other stakeholders

• To originate and develop external networks, for example to identify sources of funding, or build relationships for future activities

• Manage the use of research resources and ensure that effective use if made of them, manage/monitor research budgets

Job Requirements:

• PhD in the relevant specialist subject area

• Expertise in the science of learning, with a particular focus on cognitive neuroscience methods and mechanisms of learning in young people

• Experience of data management and analysis, with great attention to detail and excellent record keeping

• Experience of experimental design, data quality control, data processing, statistical analysis, and integration and visualization of data from multiple platforms

• Strong abilities in strategic thinking and planning; the ability to guide and harmonise several programmes of work and oversee and coordinate multiple teams and management arrangements

• Ability to work both in a team and pro-actively, using own initiative to prioritise and manage own workload, to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines and maintain confidentiality

• Role holder must have excellent IT skills and data analysis experience

• Flexibility, good time management and ability to prioritise a diverse and changing workload

• Experienced in conducting individual and collaborative research projects

• Enthusiastic to undertake management and administrative duties and have a track record of securing research funding
