ROLE DESCRIPTION
As a Director, Sales Training for Homes.com you will own the delivery and support the onboarding and ongoing training of the entire Homes.com Sales team. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that all sales professionals and managers have the tools, skills, and knowledge to be successful in their current roles and to develop their careers. You will work closely with senior sales leadership to analyze the training and development needs of the sales organization and work closely with a variety of resources to design, develop, and deliver relevant, high impact programs and tools and measure their effectiveness.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for training and development of new and early-tenure sales reps, including training plan development, timely completion of certification process, and on-going coaching across their first few months in the role.
- Responsible for the creation, preparation and enhancement of training outlines, agendas, presentations, and materials.
- Supervise and report on the progress of trainees during the training period.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to lead the design and ongoing development of curriculum and job aids.
- Monitor, analyze, and communicate performance data to assess training effectiveness and identify new training needs.
- Coach and communicate with sales leaders to ensure ongoing support and promotion of the training curriculum.
- Identify skill development trends across new and existing sales talent and assist with ongoing skills curriculum design and implementation of training, including training days and other initiatives focused on sales skill growth and revenue generation.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, not-for-profit university.
- Certification or advanced degree in learning and development or equivalent experience.
- Experience in instructional design, curriculum development and delivery.
- 8+ years of experience in a sales/sales management role, preferably in residential real estate, software as a service (SaaS) technology or financial sales.
- 5+ years of leadership experience, managing teams of individual contributors.
- Understanding of the sales process and its value to a selling organization.
- A track record of commitment to prior employers.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Ability to motivate, coach and manage new talent.
- Strong leadership presence and professionalism.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet defined plans.
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations at a high growth company.
- Previous sales management experience.
- Exposure to common sales methodologies (i.e. Solution Selling, Miller Heiman, etc.).
