The United States Space Force (USSF) Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM), 1st Test and Evaluation Squadron at Vandenberg Space Force Base is searching for a Test Director (NH-0801-03).

Description:
The 1st Test and Evaluation Squadron is at the cutting edge of new Space Domain Awareness and Space Command and Control technology. The ideal candidate will possess Space operations and/or Space Test experience. Program Management, Microsoft Office skills, briefing/presentation skills, teaching/instructing experience, able to explain engineering terms and concepts and able to accomplish engineering tasks (as required).

• As deputy to the director/commander, plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the Force Support Squadron (FSS).

• Makes comprehensive assessments and evaluations of program goals/objectives which provide a basis for long-range planning to enhance the management support capabilities of the FSS.
• Represents the Force Support Squadron with a variety of installation organizations and outside agencies.

Summary: The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a first level supervisor and assist the Child Development Center Director in the supervision of the day to day operation of a Child Development Center. Assists with the supervision of the Child Development Center to provide specialized developmental childcare and instruction for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age. The position develops, implements, and administers child development programs; provides an overall safe and healthy environment to stimulate and sustain the interest of children; assists with administration; and organizes the educational and developmental programs managerial authorities.

Duties:

• Assist the Child Development Center Director in the daily operations of the Child Development Center.
• Assists in the administration and evaluation of ongoing programs of individual and group developmental and educational activities for staff implementation and execution.

• Provides assistance in the management of funds and resources to include developing the annual NAF and APF budgets, which includes submission and prioritization of program component requirements.

SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to exercise second level supervisory and managerial authorities over Air Force Junior ROTC Worldwide. Serves as Director during extended absences, deployments, and breaks between incumbent. Responsible for all aspects of the AFJROTC Program. Represents the Air Force at the service-level to DoD, works through Office of Legislative Affairs (OLA) to respond to Congress and Senators on Congressional inquiries on program issues. The Deputy Director manages a $100M budget to include the formulation; justification; and execution of budgets and works POM issues for the AFJROTC programs, or projects.
