The Manager, Fixed Income Research and Trading will support the CIBC fixed income team in their day-to-day management of separately managed accounts. The role will conduct independent research of the fixed income market with an emphasis on municipal bonds and will be responsible for trade order creation and execution. The Manager, Fixed Income Research and Trading will research market data, industry trends, and issuer credit quality to support investment decisions and will also be involved in security selection and strategy implementation for a wide range of client portfolios.
This position will contribute to asset allocation and strategy decisions across sectors to meet the risk and return objectives of the portfolios. individual will be an integral part of the fixed income team and will be involved in all facets of the department. This individual will have the opportunity to grow into the portfolio management role, depending on skill level.

Collaboration: Working with the investment team and client facing professionals to ensure client needs are met.
Problem Solving: Acting as a key contact within the fixed income team to address questions as they arise.
Critical thinking - Apply critical thinking, creativity, and sound judgment to determine the best possible outcomes by utilizing data to support strategic decision making.
Relationship Management – You build strong relationships internally and externally. You understand the views of various stakeholders and facilitate problem solving to find the best solution for our clients, employees, and stakeholders.
You have a minimum of 5 years of experience. You have a strong knowledge of fixed income securities, interest rate dynamics and portfolio theory, and a broad knowledge of investment products.
An understanding of Bloomberg, electronic trading platforms, and order management systems is an asset.
You have an Undergraduate degree Undergraduate degree with a major/specialization in Business, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or Engineering
You’re a certified professional. CFA is considered a strong asset
