Are you an enthusiastic and self-motivated administrator, with experience in research funding and project management? If so, this could be the ideal role for you.
We have an exciting opportunity to join the College Research Office for the College of Health and Science as a Senior College Research & Income Generation Officer. You will have the opportunity to use your experience to provide efficient and professional project management and administrative support for the coordination of external income, including research grants, consultancy projects, and educational contracts.
You will be involved in managing scheduled financial reporting to enable accurate and timely invoicing for externally funded research grants and other external income; assisting in the administrative, financial, and operational set up of research projects; providing ad hoc financial and operational support for research grants, consultancy projects, and educational contracts; line managing a small team of Research Officers; and acting as a point of contact for research related queries within the College.
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, with excellent communication skills, and who is able to work independently on their own initiative and prioritise their workload to meet tight internal and external deadlines.
The College of Health and Science consists of eleven schools and three research active institutes. The College has ambitious plans to enhance and increase the research conducted by its staff in line with the University’s objective to conduct research with impact locally, nationally, and globally, and so this is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to this goal.
As one of the largest employers in the city, the University of Lincoln offers exciting career opportunities with the chance to grow and develop to reach your full potential. We also offer a wide range of staff benefits, including a generous annual leave allowance of 30 days per year pro rata (plus an additional 14 bank holidays and concessionary days), progressive pay rates, access to discounts at popular stores and more.
If you would like to have an informal discussion regarding this role, please contact Frances Pearson, College Research Manager, at FPearson@lincoln.ac.uk.
