Job Title: Senior Research Associate - Synergy

A highly motivated Senior Research Associate (SRA) in protein biochemistry and molecular assays. The SRA will be responsible for the production of condensate-forming proteins and carry out compound screening using our proprietary microfluidic platform, activities that are critically important to the success of our drug-discovery program.
This role will require a good knowledge of problem-solving capability to successfully express and purify challenging protein systems from heterologous hosts. The candidate should demonstrate expertise and technical proficiency in molecular biology and protein chromatography methods. Comprehensive training will be provided for the operation of our specialized screening technologies.

Responsibilities:
· Express and purify recombinant proteins, including cloning and construct generation.
· Problem solve and innovate to produce proteins in large scales from heterologous expression systems including insect and bacterial cells.
· Analyse data, troubleshoot technical difficulties, implement solutions, and present results regularly at team meetings.
· Maintain and implement laboratory practices to a high standard, including accurate record keeping using electronic laboratory notebook systems.
· Work effectively and collaboratively with cross-disciplinary teams to contribute to the vision, strategy, and tactics of the organization.
Requirements:
· BSc/MSc in Biochemistry, Biophysics, or a related field, or sufficient industry experience.
· Solid industry experience, working in protein biochemistry, molecular biology, or related disciplines (2-3 years).
