The senior clinical fellow posts include 80% time working in the adult emergency department and 20% paid time to develop in a specialist interest of the successful candidate’s choice. The posts are open as OOPT/E for EM HSTs and as stand-alone posts for non-trainees, and can be 100% EM if required. We are also open to SAS and Specialty Doctors if that suits.

The posts provide an ideal opportunity for the successful candidates to develop their own specialist interests while working in a busy inner city university hospital, with teaching and research responsibilities and are based in the adult side of the department.

Applicants should hold a relevant postgraduate qualification (MRCEM, MRCP, MRCS, FRCA or equivalent), and should be ST4 + or equivalent, having completed a minimum of 3 years in approved SHO posts (Post Foundation Medicine) or equivalent in relevant acute specialities including at least 1 year in Emergency Medicine.

The post will be a combination of service provision including out of hours and paid time to develop a specialist interest. The candidate to combine a job in Emergency Medicine with a 20% time allowance for a specialist interest. Specialist interests may include but are not limited to education (SIM/FOAMed), global health, expedition medicine, leadership and management, advanced airway management, research (with Professor Jonathon Benger), ultrasound, resuscitation, toxicology and paediatrics. About the vacancy:

We have a vacancy to join the School of Applied Sciences as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Farming Systems. The post holder will support students on our food systems, environmental science and conservation programmes by contributing to teaching and learning, as well as supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research projects across the discipline. There may be an opportunity to lead the popular MSc Sustainable Food Systems programme, depending on experience. The post holder will also teach students on the final year undergraduate module, Sustainable Food Production. This is a full-time permanent post offered as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer role, depending on experience. Preference will be given to applicants who can deliver teaching in agroecology. The senior clinical fellow posts include 80% time working in the adult emergency department and 20% paid time to develop in a specialist interest of the successful candidate’s choice. The posts are open as OOPT/E for EM HSTs and as stand-alone posts for non-trainees, and can be 100% EM if required. We are also open to SAS and Specialty Doctors if that suits.

The posts provide an ideal opportunity for the successful candidates to develop their own specialist interests while working in a busy inner city university hospital, with teaching and research responsibilities and are based in the adult side of the department.

Applicants should hold a relevant postgraduate qualification (MRCEM, MRCP, MRCS, FRCA or equivalent), and should be ST4 + or equivalent, having completed a minimum of 3 years in approved SHO posts (Post Foundation Medicine) or equivalent in relevant acute specialities including at least 1 year in Emergency Medicine.

The post will be a combination of service provision including out of hours and paid time to develop a specialist interest. The candidate to combine a job in Emergency Medicine with a 20% time allowance for a specialist interest. Specialist interests may include but are not limited to education (SIM/FOAMed), global health, expedition medicine, leadership and management, advanced airway management, research (with Professor Jonathon Benger), ultrasound, resuscitation, toxicology and paediatrics. The post holder will work at Bristol Eye Hospital and will be responsible for supervising a team of validators to carry out RTT validation and data quality checks on over 7000 RTT pathways. This will include the need to process patient pathway activity against the patient access policy and the supporting standard operating system guidance. The Senior RTT Validator and Trainer will be an expert in RTT national guidance and will support the more junior validators in the team and provide training to other departments across the hospital site. In doing so you will be expected to provide high quality checks on patients’ pathways using the electronic patient tracking lists and audit against the Referral to Treatment (RTT) national standards to support the delivery of the Trust achieving the RTT Performance standards.

• The post holder is responsible for ensuring that relevant validation and staff training on RTT is provided to ensure that the wider staffs within the hospital site are recording correct information to support the performance delivery month-on-month.
• The post-holder is expected to deliver training sessions at desk in smaller groups and 1:1 sessions to support staff in the RTT national rules.
• The post-holder will require a high level of confidence and an expert knowledge in RTT in order to deliver against this requirement.
• The post-holder will support the validators managing the on holds, inactive referrals and monitoring the risk of overdue partial bookings.
• Day to day supervision of the corporate validators will be required to ensure that validation of RTT patients on our patient tracking lists is carried out and that month-end performance is achieved. Where validation errors are noted, these should be escalated to the Performance & Operations Manager immediately for further action to be taken.
• The post holder will be expected to provide and receive complex information relating to patients and their treatment pathway, this information can contain sensitive information relating to the patients diagnosis and treatment plan. This information will contain queries regarding potential clock stops, suspensions and pathways which have an on hold status.

Build Teams that are defining the test hardware requirements to integrate the test hardware into Test rigs that the individual will have designed.

The test rigs will be testing items with physical loads, electrical systems – most of which will involve a cryogenic element achieved through use of cold gas.

A designer with a flexible and broad-based engineering background is preferred with experience designing & integrating demonstration experimental rigs. Familiarity with HV & LV wiring & connector selection / integration cryogenics and Hydrogen installations would be beneficial for the role.
