Instructor and Technician
We are seeking a skilled Instructor and Technician to join our Construction and Building Services Department. This role involves supporting Lecturers and students in the practical delivery of wet trade skills, including plastering, tiling and bricklaying, The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, effective, and inspiring learning environment, ensuring that students receive the hands-on experience they need to excel.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support: Assist in preparing materials, tools, and equipment for practical sessions in wet trade areas, including plastering, bricklaying, tiling, and painting.
Workshop Maintenance: Ensure all tools, equipment, and facilities are well-maintained, clean, and ready for use. Carry out minor repairs and coordinate maintenance as needed.
Health & Safety: Monitor and enforce health and safety standards in the workshop. Conduct regular safety checks and maintain accurate records.
Resource Management: Manage inventory of materials and tools, ordering supplies as necessary to support course requirements.
Student Support: Provide guidance and support to students during practical sessions, assisting with techniques, equipment use, and safety protocols.
