Independent Learning Supervisor

Term time only, Monday-Friday 8:00am-3:30pm
Salary: £17,000-£18,500 p.a. dependent on experience

Sandwell Academy is one of the top performing schools in the region. Every year over a thousand students apply to join the Academy in Year 7, while year on year our sixth form is heavily oversubscribed. The Role
Sixth Form students opt in to Independent Learning sessions to support their progression through A level and BTEC courses. These are individual sessions that take place in state of the art designated rooms, where students complete follow-up work and homework tasks.
The following attributes are required:
- The ability to build rapport with young people
- Understanding of Sixth Form qualification programmes
- A willingness to insist on high standards in relation to academic focus and behaviour
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
- An approachable demeanour and good sense of humour
- A commitment to supporting young people to achieve their best
