The Education and Training Administrator will be joining the 2023 award winning Non Clinical Team of the Year, Education and Training, and fulfilling a key role in facilitating and co-ordinating the effective delivery of administrative functions within the department. They will ensure full and appropriate use of the Knowledge Hub facilities, delegating as necessary to ensure day to day work is complete and courses and training sessions are supported appropriately. They will work closely with the Medical Education Team, and Training and Development Team to deliver a high quality experience to all Knowledge Hub users. Including participation in decision-making and changes in strategy that may affect the day to day running of the Knowledge Hub.
• To provide general office and administrative support services to the Education and Training Team, including Training and Development, Undergraduate education, Post-graduate education and Library services.
• Provide a room booking service using an online room diary management system for the Knowledge Hub.
• Be first point of call to Knowledge Hub users, providing a high quality welcome service.
• To undertake general office duties; answering the telephone, taking messages, dealing with requests from people visiting the Knowledge Hub, filing, photocopying, scanning and handling incoming and outgoing post.
• To communicate with staff, trainees, students and visitors on a daily basis, providing support where required and working to help resolve any issues.
• Produce accurate letters, minutes from team meetings, attendance reports and maintain databases when required.
• To assist the Medical Education Coordinator and Training Programme Director with the coordination of SPR weekly teaching.
• Assist the Medical Education Team with the coordination of Internationally renowned training courses (FRCS revision course, ERASMUS course etc).
• Contact and request assistance from volunteer patients for courses, if course delegates are required to demonstrate examination techniques in a clinical environment.
• Assist the Medical Education Manager with Postgraduate doctor Induction/Rotation.
